I still can't beleive I have never shot a Hi Power. I like the way they feel, but since they are 9mm, I just figured I would never buy one.

A 9mm will pack quite a wallop. I've taken deer, hog and lots of other stuff perfectly cleanly with properly stoked BHP's.

That gun still seems to run a good $200 or so over a Remington R1, but it does have the goodies. I suppose it is worth it for the snazzy parts... I don't like the serrations on the front of the slide on the loaded pistols.

The diff between the rem and range master in parts alone is like 400 and then you have to have them fitted so well worth the price difference in the first place. You/ll get used to the front serations. I have a 1911 that doesn't have them but is all done otherwise.

Why we keep bringing twice the gun to shoot a 90 pound gangbanger then?

We don't usually sit camo'd in a blind waiting for one to walk by to line up the shot.

Because with a .44 mag, you can line them up and get at least a fourfer.

I love my little Springfield EMP 9mm, the joy of a 1911, slightly scaled down but same great feel and ergos, good for CCW, and as hard hitting as most +P 38 Specials, but higher round-count than a snub revolver, easier to shoot and more accurate too.

the only way I would get a 9mm is a 1911 form factor, after seeing yours, I may do that! I also will buy a C9 since they are cheap and cheap to shoot too though.

It's used. Bone stock...I put my deposit down on it, and stripped it down on the counter while the guy was filling out a tag of info. I couldn't find any evidence that it had been fired at all. No marks on the feed ramp, no wear marks of any kind on frame rails. If it has been fired, it isn't much. I already have a set of XS Express Big Dot tritium sites waiting to be installed, too. I'll throw up a pic when I bring it home.

X, I have no idea what model. I didn't ask him to pull it out of the case. What is your opinion of them?? A 1911 will round out my meager handgun collection by the end of the year. Leaning toward a Taurus for now. would have bought one yesterday if I hadn't stumbled upon the Browning.

Very good. Hey, are you going to remove the mag safety? No big whoop but the trigger'll be better and you'll be able to shoot sans magazine.. tactical reload or lost.
