Having issues again with my '95 Chevy Blazer. I went to Colorado for the RMAR over a year ago, We trailered 2 bikes there. On the way back the truck started acting up. The check engine light was coming on and it would shift REAL HARD into gear. My buddy Steve, who is a mechanic, was with me and when we got home he changed out the tranny fluid and checked under there. All looked fine and the engine light went off on its own. Ever since, the truck hasn't given me any engine issues.

This morning the light came on and there go the hard shifts again. It runs fine otherwise.

??
Vacuum leak. Trans. thinks the engine is WFO so it raises the line pressure, thus the hard shift. Dunno why it's intermittent.

Looking for someone to install a CC on my Strom

Anyone have any recommendations? I am looking to have someone that knows their way around a bike better than me *tries says with a straight face* that can put in an after market cruse control. Dealerships and even Dillon don't want to do it. I know there are several "how to post" on ADV and Stromtroopers, but I am just not a tinkerer. Of course I am willing to pay for the work so if you have any ideas of someone you can trust and recommend, please let me know.

Thanks

-Dave

What makes it difficult? If Dillon won't touch it, maybe you should run away.

Had a Strom with Electric Cruise which is what you are talking about I believe. They are very difficult to install. Electrical conections to brake light switches, fuel injection module, handle bars, speedometer, and just about everyplace else. The cruise on the bike I had did not work. I was going to take it off but decided just the un-instalation was too much work, left it on the bike and sold it as it was.

Great day of riding. Heading to Joe's Farm Grill to meet up with karla for dinner. Anyone want to join us? Planning to get there between 5-5:30.

Got the kids. Grandma Is coming from NY on Tuesday and will be staying for a bit. So I'll probably be able to sneak a few rides here and there soon.

I installed this Audiovox CCS-100 on my 2008 Kawasaki Nomad a few years ago. It was a bit of a project, but worked extremely well when completed. I don't believe the CCS-100 is still available- might be mistaken on that. This one used a vacuum servo to control the throttle.

You might try www.mccruise.com. Their units are largely plug-n-play, but they are spendy.
