I topped up my oil and went for a 20 minute ride. Came back and found this.
I checked the oil after the warm up and I'm at 80% on the dip stick. WTF?

And the Edelbrock pumper carb has hesitation when accelerating.

It appears you have a leak.

On a more serious note, did you possibly overfill?

I could have overfilled. Would it come out of that area?

I'd assume if overfilled it'd come out of whichever seal it busted first. Maybe that one was the weakest one.

I'd try draining all oil, checking gasket in that area, tightening everything back up, then adding suggested amount, and see where that gets you.
I've read more then one post about guys overfilling the XR, and having oil in the air box area. Could check there too.
Just my first thought. Might want to let some of the other more experienced 650R guys chime in too.

Nice e-start btw.

I opened up a couple of UPS packages, stared at the Flying Pig in Progress for awhile and decided to put on the new Seat Concepts rack as it was the only thing I had all of the for.

That starter is obviously defective. You should get rid of it.....Send it to me and I'll dispose of it for your...

A hesitant Edlebrock is likely the accelerator pump being plugged or not working. Fix your oil leak problem first, then work on the carb.

Wonder how hard it would be to put a rotopax mount on the manracks. I like the idea.

Should have bought a TCI! Vastly superior product for the same price as the Manrack but after inspecting all three
in person I decided that this rack combined with the TCI fender support was the strongest and most cost effective option for my needs.

There are multiple companies selling universal mount plates. All for less than $20. I went with this particular one just to eliminate shipping cost.
