Yep, controlled burn south of Sunriver. It got really windy and hot today and was a little worried about them losing control of it.

I looked at the FAQ before; but I sort of ruled out the flasher relay as the front turns signals work fine (e.g. blink). From the wiring diagram, both the front and rear turn signals are tied into the same flasher unit. I was thinking either the bulbs in the rear flashers were bad, or that there is a break in the wiring for them. I don't have access to the bike at the moment; so I don't know if the turn signals in the rear are LEDs. They are the same as the front ones though which work fine.

2000 XR650R Aussie style


All pack and ready for Tasmania. All the usual mods, got it breathing, suspension, gearing bars up tank 2.5X bigger screen and widened, softened the seat a wee bit but basically stock. Tassie went like this http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=446414

Well, here she is, just picked it up, 2001 BRP, grand total of 80 miles on her or about 3-4 hours. Took it for a spin. wow!! what fun. List of mods:
ibach suspension front/rear - nice and stiff now
uncorked
Clarke 4.3 tank
extra foam saddle
some kind of after market triple clamp and risers (red)
white brothers e series exhaust
I think thats it.

I bought a box of goodies for it already, its gonna become street legal. Will keep ya'll updated:

Looks great!

You may not like the glare off that white fender at night, but it looks good during the day.

Purchased a 200w stator, running headlight off an ac 100w system and eveything else off 100w dc system. Still trying to get the headlight working, cant seem to figure it out. Will let you know when it works.

On all of the AC systems I've seen on XR's, the two leads from the coil are not grounded to the frame. I had a small regulator mounted to the headlight fairing, wired between the two legs.
