Nice looking bike, Vinnie! I assume it's been lowered somewhat? Are those CD5s or 7s?

[QUOTE=larryboy;18044623]Had a great time talking with you guys!! Met tons of great folks on that short three day trip!!

You a MotoBro, Steve?

I hung out with those Oakland guys back in the late 70,s. I was never a member though. I was thinking of opening a shop that works on old bikes and liked the name. Where are you located? Im In Grass Valley,Ca.

Quick Question

I'm going to be looking at XR650R soon that has been sitting for quite awhile.

Anything special to be concerned about?

Anything other than the obvious-all fluids, carb, brakes, fork seals, etc?

I've got An XR400 and love it and been looking for a 650 for awhile and this might be the one if it checks out.

Thanks for any advice!

Thanks Shib's, I already thought that was OTT

I had a look - but can't find any 'how-to' for posting pics here. There used to be a button, simple as pie, but the darn thing has gone now.
Yeah, I did see the link-button, via some piccie-site, but it used to be possible to post from my pc direct.
Someone care to help here pls? I'm probably thick, or maybe got a semi-spammer rep these days, dunno......

LED lights install

I just installed the LEDs from this Vendor Thread. Wow! What a good deal.

They are mounted through the old signal light holes. New signals are mounted in the hand guards.

I installed the Highway Dirtbikes dual perch switch. What's great about this switch is that it's rated to 6 amps. Each LED pulls 2.4 amps. There's no need to run a relay. The red button on the bottom is for my bd starter. I have a ricky stator (100 watts per side) which powers the stock head lamps via AC and the LEDs via DC. (LEDs can't be run on AC) The battery is a Ballistic but it will soon be a Braille Lithium.

Side view.

Lights on.

Low beam only.

+High beam.

The deer melting laser beams.

I gotta get a newer pic with the brembo 320 rotor. Have 17's for it as well, but they look so small on the XRR.
I use it like a motard/adventure/fireroad moto. You couldn't tell though because I'm so OCD with cleaning it.

Hey I like that Vinnie.
That is the way I ride mine. I don't need all that suspension.

What you need to do now is make up some scramble pipes. Make them go on both sides about midway like that Jack Pine Triumph.
