My trusty steed for sale

Need it adventure ready? For an additional $200 I will throw in a Acerbis 6.3, tanker brace and a Utah skid plate.

4 clicks / revolution on that red knob! 1 or 2 is the most you may need unless you are going to the top of Mt Everest Left = Lean, Right = Rich

It's just Krylon paint. I buffed up the cover to a shine then sprayed with Krylon fake anodize paint. Not to bad but should have buffed to a polished finish to get the anodized effect, even held up to heat.

Disc Guards

Has anybody ever bent a brake disc without using a guard of some sort, whether a stock plastic one or metal aftermarket?

Ron, I was riding up in the San Juans and had a babyhead flip up and break the tabs off that hold the rear disk guard on, I didn't realize at first so I lost an XRs Only sharkfin somewhere in the Rockies. It also bent the disk pretty good, I started feeling a pulsing through the pedal on the steep downhills. Not a comforting feeling when riding up in 14K' mountains We were able to tweak the disk with a crescent wrench enough to get home. The bike ended up needing a new back disk, caliper carrier and sharkfin, a pricey repair

XR's only sells a integrated caliper carrier/disk guard. It's pretty stout and just the thing to keep that from happening if you're riding allot of rocks.

I have thought about shooting Edelbrock an e-mail asking who manufactured that part for them, but from dealing with then in the past, doubt I would get a response.
So, if anyone has a lead, or any ideas on finding those pump cups........

One last thing, although the cups are ethanol resistant, carb cleaner will destroy the cups real quick, so be careful.
That must be how I ruined mine, carb cleaner, damn! Wish I had seen this first. Just when you think it is safe to clean a carb with carb cleaner! Well now I have a TM40 waiting on a new manifold and throttle assembly to install. Sure sounds like the Edelbrock will be a lot easier to dial in for elevation changes. I am looking to take the pig up to Colorado for the RMAR and Westfest this summer and am worried about getting it jetted right for the elevation. That little red clicker on top of the Eddy sure is looking appealing for that!

Ya know, I actually found some huge boar decals on Amazon of all places, and they look very cool on the natural tank. I'll post up pics later.
