Spoolie, You know enough for us to suggest jetting! I mis-read your Alt and was thinking 350 but you said 850... You may want to have a 170 main on hand for middle of summer hot months and see how that goes? my recommendation of 175 may be too rich except for dead of winter???? but when you talk about one jet size it can vary to what you like and riding style as well, trial-and-error. Its an easy swap let us know what you find works for you!

Single cable
I bought the FCR41 from a guy that took it off of a 450 huski. He converted it to a single cable and blocked off the leak.
Should I put it back to a dual cable, and should I put the leak back to .65-.80? HELP !!!!

I enjoy having the dual (push/pull cable) because my cables are sort of long and the turns it makes to go under the tank puts it at enough of a bind that the throttle doesn’t close real well on its own (I’m going to fix this by adding an external spring to pull it closed) so mine needs the close cable for now…but I’d install it as is and see what you think since your cable may be different length? About the leak…you may be familiar with it already but with it blocked it means 100% of the Accelerator pump (AP) goes into the throttle body instead of “leaking” back into the bowl. I was told by many to tune the carb without the AP connected [some said you needed it to adjust the jetting but mine worked well without???] so I’d do that and then once its jetted properly…if the AP is flooding it too much you may want to go back with the leak jet. (or some do the adjustable pump addition which in some models makes the leak jet adjustable but its ~$99)

Rekluse units
Has anyone had experience with it on a big single? Care to share?
I am thinking the XR porker begs for the "Minibike" clutch kit and a left handed rear brake. Imagine that big old nasty clutch cable going away ... my tank might actually fit better. Plus, it would be just like my mountainbike. P.S. I think GPipe may have tinkered a bit with it but, I do not remember him adding the LH rear brake option. |

Dosco the FCR's are way easy to jet much easier than the TM40.
Wether it is an FCR39,40 or 41 they jet remarkably similarly. Find out what's in it so you have a base and go from there. Disconnecting the pumper like the King said is a good idea as well. They never stray too far from 45-55 pilot and 170-180 main the needles stock also work for just about everything out there from 450cc to 650cc.Actually the FCR39 and 40 work real well on the CRF250's at similar jet specs. If the bike is full house they might need a bit more fuel. Some of the TT boys have used the Rekluse and loved them.

Hey Guys
Two ?'s here.
Cooky here is what is in the FCR41 now, the pilot is 40, main 185, and needle on second clip. What you said is basically I need to order some pilots and mains, but what about the needle position. SPo911 and/or everyone what the hell is a rekluse unit??

I started playing with mine last weekend and I am currently running the 190 main, 52 Pilot and the EMP needle is in the middle (4 from top out of 8) I only rode it that weekend so I may play some more with it but the fuel screw is between 2 and 2.5 turns out so I may go back to the 55 pilot but I couldn't get it to idle down with the fuel screw all the way in to stall out with the 55 and someone said that means its too large? i'm at 400 MSL and it was 40-50F with 75-80% humidity. I do have a worked over head and 680 but from what I heard that shouldn't affect more than a main jet size??? tell us about your area and we can give some ideas.

Alt, Temp, Humidity
Right now it is 50 ish,Alt 700 ish, and Humidity is always 80% or higher
Summer months 90-100 degrees, Humidity feels like 200%, but always 80% or higher. I will order 45-55 pilots, and 186-195 mains just to be safe. Unless someone tells me that is to much
