I can sweep thru there tonight or Tues night. Just let me know if some one is missing!!
Seriously, if someone needs help while up this way PM me for a phone #. That area is really not too difficult, but I can be there in about 1 hour if necessary. |

Doable on a GSA? I hid it on a Suzuki Katana 600. I have no idea if you can make it in there without dumping it if that's what ya mean. Each rider is different.
Call phone reception? Yes, I had it. It's not too far into the woods, about a mile or so.

i can't comment on Madurbu's riding experience (i briefly met Mark only once at one of the GS Tags), but nevertheless if the conditions are "right", you can't pickup that bike. period.

call off the calvary!
I had to cancel today's raid into Ct due to timing problems. My window of opportunity disappeared.
Thanks for looking out for me Adam.

Went out for a sweep ride or grab the duck ride. The good news, no downed riders. The bad news, no duck! I am 99.9% sure I was in the right spot but I arrived WAY after dark and could not find the duck with my little LED flashlight
. Also too dark to be certain, but I did not see any fresh tracks! My original plan was to go for the grab Tues eve, because I can actually get there before dark. So if no one claims it, I will head back by 6pm, Tues. ![]() ![]()

No Rob, I forgot about that clue and never saw the old sign! So I was probably poking around in the wrong stone wall!

yea, you get off the bike, go over the wall on the pond side of the trail, and just kind of follow the trail to the left. It's not far.

Almost made the run yesterday, 4 hrs one way, but then luck failed me. I remembered an appointment I had in the early afternoon. Oh my little red duc how you cause grown men and women to sink to such sillyness....

Red Duck Rescue, part II
Rushed out to beat the rain and the sunset tonight, just made it on both counts. Same location as last night, but now I could see! There is a trail heading left from the clearing. Keep going there is the rusty sign and a wall beyond.
![]() ![]() A brief search in daylight is much more productive. ![]() ![]() Hike back to the trail and lets get out before the downpour!

Back at home for the night. akarob's shop apparently inspected and rejected the Red Duck
![]() ![]() ![]() My 3 month old grandson, visiting from North Carolina, inspected and approved the duck. ![]() Off to a new nest Weds afternoon. Two 100 mile nights on the thumper have been a literal pain in the ass, so we will take the Harley and find some big bike friendly dirt in Central Ct. |
