That was the original intent of this game. To allow people to find and share neat places to ride their dual sport bikes on dirt not far from their homes in our densely populated areas. Was not to make mascots important or cause angst. Was not meant to prove how tough we were or how far we could ride on asphalt with knobbies.

Glad we have gotten the game back on track with Jim's, Walt's, and KLRRR's efforts. Hope we can have some fun again. Remeber, this is just a game.

There are some great areas around here to explore and play in the mud, sand, and gravel, many even legal!

Bill, thanks again for your time and effort on the BB ride! I actually loved the extra single track, even though I got stuck!

I'm really sorry about that-- I wasn't supposed to put up signs---BUT I WAS supposed to TELL you...which I didn't...

Thanks for jumping in on Shmuel with his ankle--I think like "take an anti imflamatory, keep your boot tight"---glad you were there to talk to him.

Sucks about Walt--he and Nate will KILLING it on the 990/950s, really dicing it out.

New tag

X marks the spot

To get to X

you could go over this low bridge (in sharp contrast to the town its in)

Then these two bridges

to arrive here

Proceed on the left

The trail is like this. There's some casual mud and water so knobbies or something similar wouldn't be the worst choice of tires

You'll eventually crest a longish hill and see this view, so you can stop. The bike has not moved in any of the following pictures

BTW- you may ask "why didn't you keep going on the trail?". Well, that was my intention, but when I crested the hill I saw a pickup cresting the next hill and heard sawing going on. So I stopped where I was. I've been to the end and there's a house there, but it's not on this "road" per se.

You will just have passed this "Y" stick against a pole

Another clue is this small ex-fire

This is what you just came up

Final clue if the others are gone is the pole number

Anyway, duckie is at the base of the pole

Covered by the rock

If you go around lunch-- this place has very tasty fare

Anyway, have fun. I did.

Blocked Access!

Was this the pick-up Walter?

Really wasn't a way around them, so I decided to go up other trail. Thought maybe they'll intersect..........nope
Nice climb to the plateau

Fun part was going back down

Guess 5pm on Friday isn't good time to go, probably hunters, the deer rut is on

Good effort Vince. Too bad it was blocked, but I don't think they would have made it up the trail. The plateau side is nice, the other side is a little more difficult. There's actually a hard to find 3rd trail that does intersect with the middle one.

As for the rest of you with dirt bikes, for shame, for shame.

I had this on my GPS to grab on my way to VA this morning. My trip was cancelled other wise I would have been there around 0900. Would have been pretty ticked if I couldn't have gotten past the car.

Jimmr and I found a duck and a fish...

That was a fun hill climb, although I did manage to get stuck in some mud with my not so knobby new tires. Thankfully Jimmr was there to help wrestle the adventure piggy

New tag

Just down the river from a Boy Scout camp used from 1914-1974.

The duck is on the center pier of the bridge and is tied to the bridge in case frankenstorm encourages the mighty raritan to try to steal the duck

Ps the bridge near the old camp is very entertaining

That was a bit more than I was expecting; lot's of fun but not something I'd do on my own with my meagre skills.

Here's KL_ARRR after going a little too far off-road:

Looking back down the trail from the tag site:

At the new tag site, KL_ARRR listens to the Duck's persuasive reasons for jumping off bridges:

Ducks are in play

I'm keeping them separate, but close to each other.

First is TuxDux

And regular duck. He's below and behind the bark- burrowing for cover.

Back a little

From across the road

Looking backward, ducks to the left

Looking forward

I didn't see the brook, but it was probably cold.
