That's one gorgeous motorcycle! If it had about 30 more horsepower, dual discs up front, and a real suspension I'd buy one. As it stands I think once the styling became familiar and the novelty wore off the lack of performance would make it more of a garage fixture than something I'd itch all week to jump on Sunday morning. You could buy an immaculate classic late-series LeMans for less than the V7 Classic, and not only would you have the real deal, but better performance and a future appreciating collectible. If these retro bikes aren't going to significantly improve on the originals then you might as well buy the real deal, in my opinion. Hopefully Moto Guzzi will expand this series with something that's more comparable to a Ducati Paul Smart.

Why, in the name of God, has no one suggested a used Triumph Thunderbird or Thunderbird Sport?

It's a Triumph, it's a triple, and the sport has 83 bhp. My next bike.

I agree the original V7 was small, but it had the power to do 125 mph. I'm sorry, but they really should have used this bodywork on the larger format powerplants.

New bike with a classic look? How about an actual new classic bike?

Hmmm...looks like a standard 96 t-bird with the rear fender removed, Corbin cafe seat w/out the cowl, custom turn signals, chrome chainguard and sidestand, sport handlebars, offroad exhaust cans, and painted or powdercoated exhaust.

i'm concerned the 67 bhp coming out of the crankshaft won't be enough, so i'm looking into a 250cc suzuki? (it does look sweet though in that picture)

Looks cool. Beats the hell out of the idea of a scooter. $3500 isn't too bad. Nice retro looks.

I agree. Looks great but, I'd like to see how it looks with a 200 lb man on it!

31" seat height and a 55" wheelbase. I don't think it's a tiny motorcycle. I'll try to get a pic of my 230lbs arse sitting on one when my local dealer gets one in!!!

If you can find one....and a dealer foolish enough to let it go at that price.
