i called today. maybe the zrxoa forum should get after calling too. this is THE NEXT NEW BIKE for me if it were to come back.

I like the cb1000r, the 919, and and many others, but I love this thing.

I picked up a used Rex today. It's a green '99 model with 21k miles on it. I put about 150 miles on it today and am glad to be back on a ZRX. I had one about five years ago and regrettably sold it. My '99 looks like it has had a pretty hard life but I'll mess with a little this summer to get it into back into shape. I've been commuting on my RT the last three months but I think I will likely commute on the Rex for the next few months to wear down the cheesy tires that are on the bike now.

I've got a '99 bought in the spring of 1999. Lindemann forks, Works Performance shocks, SP Tadao Super Combat stainless/carbon full exhaust, Factory Pro jet kit, K&N filter, 4 degree advancer, Corbin Gunfighter seat. Great bike- comfortable and competent.

How many miles? As of tonight I've rolled up 34,257 trouble free, enjoyable miles.

Thanks...Just curious since you've had it so long....Kawasaki really needs to bring these back..Perhaps maybe some performance upgrades without really changing the essence of the bike...
