No buzzing at all, and the the valves are shim adjustment.

Still a great looking bike

Do these things have a lot of buzz or vibration through the bars ? If yes is there a remedy to smooth it out?

Are these shim under bucket vales?
My 1100 has no buzzing. They're shim on top on the 11 and I think the same on the12.

Not true at all. Some do, some don't.

My 2005 didn't buzz at all in 70,000 miles, but my 2002 does above 4500 RPM. Not a super bad buzz, but somewhat annoying.

Shim over bucket on all ZRX's and no cam removal needed.

Nice thing about a ZRX is that it's a blank canvas for whatever the owner wants...

I think the nice thing about it is it looks like a proper motorcycle, not some plastic clad transformer toy. :-)

Sorry if I was unclear. I was referring to personal experience with my 1100.

I love my 05 rex, I do get annoyed sometimes with the clunky transmission.

Do you go to the ZRXOA board? There is a guy who can fix the sloppy-ass shifter mechanism for $80, which is where 90% of clunky shifting comes from on a ZRX.

he installs a metal bushing and machines it to size. there's so much slop in my shift lever bushing I'm going to have it done soon.

Not just that, but installs a grease zerk AND installs a new heim-joint/rod set-up that stiffens that area.

I have had two of them done for me by Jim.

I haven't had my shifter tweaked by Jim, but I'll tell ya this he's a damn nice guy. I met him a couple of years ago at the Hoosier Hoolifest. For whatever my opinion is worth
