For My Fellow Americans - the $: is at its best since 2002.

Sucks if you're selling products in Europe, but if you're a tourist

Great price ,but 100km a day? Is that flexible on longer rentals?

I missed that part.

Figure 250-300 km/day riding in the hills - more if you like zooming along the Autostradae. That bumps the effective daily rate by 30-50 Euro.

Still might be better price then some others. I just see my self counting the miles.km. Or more so, not taking a random rd because it could cost our wine money for the night.and after 30 days that 20 to 50 a day add up.

Sounds like me.

BiancoBlu has unlimited mileage (kilometrage?) and most of the others have 300km/day included - which is reasonable. I seem to average 280km/day in the mountains, and have yet to pay an overage fee.

Paying a higher fee up front for a rental that includes sufficient daily kms gives you a hard number that you can budget for, rather than having that nasty surprise at the end.

If you're only doing this once, use the method that doesn't have you counting kms. The trip cost may be higher, but when you compare the price delta of the "extra" kms to the overall trip cost, it's a nit.

If you're going to do this more than once, consider shipping an old bike over and keeping it for future rides. This avoids the km/day issue altogether.

IMHO

I found 500 a week with 2500km.In Germany. I am planning on shipping now, but don't want to. Replacing the bike here adds a lot. And I'm not comfortable with the cheap company I found. Waiting a week for a delayed boat could be a mess. 30 to 60 days is the plan. 30 days I can almost justify rental. 60 I can't. Exploring every option now.

what about purchasing...

Why not purchase a used bike then selling?
Yeah easier said than done, but it may be possible or no?

I am not familiar with registration or insurance in Italia.

Plan to be there for July so it would be nice to learn more...

Ask us

Hey guys

For the mileage there is the option of unlimited one, we prefer offering both options beacuse some of our customers prefers to keep the costs at the minimum possible. Considering that not everybody makes 300 km per day we can make a lower price for people who might only make few kilometers. Anyway the prices and the km are not "unyelding", so if somebody needs a quote just write at info@webike.rentals, and try us out
