Just looked at the Kawi website, they want $16,200.00 for the new bike.

I like the red on the ZX-14 though.

Ponies, you'll like the Connie! It is pretty robust and even with your unlucky track record of tearing things up (ha!) you should be good-to-go! The missus should be happy too

Yeah there is. There are tons of different ones available. I highly recommend joining this site: http://www.zggtr.org/

There is more info there about the C14 then you could read in a year, or three.

You'll get all the pertinent info in a handful of threads that are years old. It's mainly just fluff now...like most bike specific forums.

Oh, and who cares if Kawasaki is asking 16k? Who pays anything close to retail?

Do you have a link to that backrest?

The only one I've found so far is this: http://www.amazon.com/2008-2013-Kawa...I1NZS98WLDCPB6

Wow! That's pricey! I know I only paid about 50-100 bucks for mine. I am on the road right now but I'll be home tomorrow, I'll see if I can find some info on where I bought it. I can't seem to get google to spit out the answer for me.

I'd definitely like to know. I've decided t get a Corbin saddle for it and to lower the Pillion pegs. My wife is a california blonde, legs for miles. I know she'll need the pegs dropped.

I went with a Sargent seat, I think its a little more comfy, and a little cheaper. Let me know if you want to sell your stock seat, I sold mine and regret it since I'd like to get it to Russell for a day long.

If you do a little searching around there is a way to put the C10 pax pegs on the C14. Cheap, easy and lowers them a good bit. My wife is a shrimp so the stock pegs are fine. I'll get you the info on the back rest as soon as I get home.

The bigger issue with the passenger pegs is the lack of rubber tops. They will vibrate quite a bit. The stock muffler is also stupid hot. It will cook the passenger's foot. I have some custom lowering mounts that only move the pegs an inch and a half or so. Combined with the stock driver pegs and a cool to the touch carbon exhaust and it's all day comfy now.

well, it's been about 4.5 years...

But my baby's going on the market.

It's time for something new.

It has 13k awesome miles on it, a K&N air filter, new tires, a taller windscreen, and an OEM trunk for added storage.

I'm looking at asking about 9k for it. Does that sound about right to y'all?
