Candy Arabian Red is QUITE bold, when the sun hits it at just the right angle. Then it turns brown again as soon as a cloud passes over. Suits me just fine: I bought the bike to ride it!

I'm running a silver Connie, but the Arabian Red really is my favorite color on this bike. Really looks good.

I'm on board with the silver personally, but the white ones I have seen during Tour de France coverage make me swoon. If Kawi took the white from the current year Ninja 300 & 636, I'd be in.

I'm looking at some low mile 2008-9 bikes. I can do normal maintenance but live where the dealer seems a little less than stellar. Would this deter any of you current owners from buying?

No. With decently priced OEM parts from some sites, you wouldn't have need for the dealer.

I was wondering what you were riding. Now it is clear you are in between bikes.

When I was shopping for my C14, I had a spreadsheet of all those that were being considered. It also included distance and the retrieval costs. It helped with the buying decision.

I shouldn't even worry about it my nearest KTM twin dealer was 300+ miles away...

They're such a good deal it's really hard to not look pretty hard at them. A lot of bike for the money!

No kidding. I'm constantly looking for a KTM to snatch up. I like the dual sports and adventure bikes. Mostly for when I get to Colorado, so I can take my time.

The new 1190 coming is going to be hard to resist.

Just installed Murphs risers, wedges, and lowering pegs.

Big test is a 7 hr round trip tomorrow.

Anyone know how to get more adjustment out of the shifter? I have it maxed and hate having to lift my leg to downshift.

Only thing you would ever really 'need' the dealer for is electronic, TPMS sensors, ABS, KiPass, etc.

You could try pulling off and rotating the shifter on the shift shat one spline and readjust the heim joint to see if you gain anything.
