I think we've crossed paths before. In fact I think you live in west eugene, I used to see your strom all the time (Dane is the common theme here). might help to let us know what your budget is so we can help find you something

Yup, although I've sold the Strom and live in the hills now! I'd like a fair balance of mileage, farkles, and year for around $3,500. The main issue here is I don't have any weekends right now (or in the near future) to drive to Seattle or Redding or even Portland. I'd really like to find something closer.

The add for the one in Cottage Grove features a disconnected phone number and no email address. :/

Yup, a bike will turn up. Just be ready to act quickly.

On a brighter note, I took my first ride Saturday!
Just 58 miles total, but I can't tell you how great [lol] it was!
Thanks to Zuber's help with suspension!

Just 58 miles total, but I can't tell you how cathartic it was!

Riding will make you feel lighter!

Wiki>
In medicine, a cathartic is a substance that accelerates defecation. This is in contrast to a laxative, which is a substance which eases defecation, usually by softening feces.[1] It is possible for a substance to be both a laxative and a cathartic. However, agents such as psyllium seed husks increase the bulk of the feces.[

Managed to get myself all muddy, sweaty and wore out today......

unfortunately the handlebars I had a hold of were connected to a friggen wheel barrow. Community Service slavery. on the positive side. The Pioneer Cemetery looks a lot better than it did. Lunch at the Pub helped ease the pain.

They call it "fence whispering" only a few of us have the gift.

Dinner with Julio last night and he immediately remembered "monkeybutt" with a shit eatin' grin.on his face. Breakfast, sightseeing then maybe riding one of his bikes here in Guatemala !

Bumped into Lin at REI Saturday. She says Rick is still recovering, but doing well enough he climbed a tree for some reason recently. We can expect him back on a bike by summertime she sez...

I took advantage of the weather Earlier Saturday to play in the gravel. Ended up in a ditch with a pulled hamstring. Ouch. Made it home to an ice pack, ibuprofen, the couch and Top Gear reruns. Think I'll be limping for a few days yet...
