Bleed the clutch. Huh, forgot this thing has a hydraulic clutch. Been riding simple dualsports for too long. My '01 has a clunky shift as well. Mity-vac here I come. Might as well hit the brakes while I'm at it.

I found a bandit. I was pretty sure I wanted a second gen, but after finding this jewel, I had to have it.
The seller was asking $2500, and I would have bought it at that. (And if I passed my father in law was going to snatch it up.) I got it for $2400. anaThis thing is like new, and the paint it beautiful. It's a bone stock 2000 with only 2500 miles on it. Now for the cruddy pics, shot in my dim garage. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Good score!! It's like a time capsule, still wearing it's original rubber. Same year and color as mine. Best looking of all the Bandits says me. .

Check out this link. http://www.sprocketcenter.com/p/1032...---suzuki.html
Haven't dealt with them but they are recommended on Two Wheeled Texans forum.

Don't use the clutch. Roll throttle on, pre-load shifter, roll back throttle slightly, snick it into next gear repeat. This may or may not rule out the clutch ![]() Also it just feels right. *Not to be attempted on downshift.* |

I've got an 08' Bandit 1250 and have almost 16,000 miles on it....So far very impressed with the bike and have had zero issues...Engine is smooth, mechanically quiet, and sounds like a jet tubine....At 70 mph the rpms are really low, around 3,700 rpm, so it's really relaxed...Twist the throttle in top gear and it pulls hard instantly....Sometimes I'll be riding and the engine feels so smooth it's almost like you're coasting with the clutch in...Makes my old RC51 feel slow in any gear.....
The only nitpicks I have is that there are some minor adjustments needed to be made ergonomically to make it a bit more comfortable for my structure...Those adjustments are for the handlebars to come back 1-2 inches, and a bit wider of a seat with a tad more rearward slant....That's the only thing I can really find to complain about.... |

My current configuration...
...and I love it!
What a great bike!Next up is a Madstad adjustable windscreen, and then I just need to do something about that seat... ![]()

Bandit 1250S, bought it a year ago.
24,000 miles later...., I need new tires again (6,000 front/5,000 rear), and my chain is finally showing kinks. Money, mo money, mo money, but lots-o-FUN!

I have to thank ACDNate for planting the seed of the idea for getting a Bandit. I always liked 'em, but never considered getting one until I saw Nate's 2nd-Gen in Daytona.
Thanks, bro! Maybe someday I'll also follow your example and try a IB-1K on her!
