Bandit ready for what its made for, a little drag racing action. I am really thinking 10.5, maybe a bit better. Will know on Sat. Funnernhell running a B12, so easy to launch, so much bottom end ,just needs some GSXR 1000 cams and maybe a bit of head work for gooder numbers. Try it, you will like it.

I have a baby bandit (GSX650F) set up for long distance....
![]() ![]() worked out great, even with the small previous top case last summer at West Fest (rode there in one day- Seattle --> Darby, MT) nice on the freeway, fun in the corners (at higher speeds than my wee strom would feel comfortable doing) ![]() And, it was ok off pavement, too... have not been able to try sand, etc yet- but I'm sure I will once I get some armor on there ![]()

Has anybody every had an issue of gas leaking out of there 2002 bandit 1200s after it has been sitting for a long time at cold temperatures, it appeases to be leaking from where the header meets the pipe, just wondering what your thoughts where haven't had time to took in to it yet.

The header pipe connection is where all of the vents and drains end. Take a look around and you will see the hoses for these.

Well my old b6 has gone to a good home. I have a few odds and ends left in the garage: Pelican topcase, 74k running motor complete with carbs starter & alt, Katana wiring harness with fuse box and ignitor, rear wheel and factory windscreen. PM me if interested.

What are the differences, if any, between the 2009 Bandit touring version and the 2011, besides dropping the name Bandit?
Suzuki Canada has new 2009 Bandits and tempting prices...

difference GSF1250SA and GSX1250FA
The only difference technically I know of is that the GSX1250FA has an extra radiator fan, witch will turn on if the engine temperature is still rising when the first fan is already running. The full faring makes is more difficult for the engine to lose its heat. That is why Suzuki uses the extra fan
Hope this is helpful cheers Erik |

The faring is different. The GSF1250SA touring is basically a normal bandit with an extra fairing pieces fitted.
The GSX1250F has a one piece fairing witch is different, different headlight, different cockpit. And I do believe with a gear indicator. Besides from the extra fan it is also a 1250 bandit underneath. I have a 2010 GSF1250SA bandit, with only the top fairing. It's a very nice bike to have. ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us Erik1977 screwed with this post 01-26-2012 at 09:13 AM |
