See above posts for how I went naked.

Done and dusted now. Made some small adjustments here and there to the headlamp brackets and the routing of the throttle cables.

alton area

Hey Alton, I get what your saying about the river road. I strung back roads together once to get to Grafton staying close to the river and it was ok. A long day exploring Calhoun Co. is on my ride list, heard good things about the area. You are echoing other folks who feel bored in the Alton/Bell/O Fallon/East of STL area. Do you travel to other/better areas?

Good eye, that's exactly where it is. I really enjoyed it, and I'm glad I did the brakes before I left for that trip!

Welcome Kalmar. Neat bike.

Nice to to see the Shad cases on your bike. Can I request for a close-up rear view picture of your bike with both the shad SH42 cases mounted on the bike. (I have them on my 1200GS and considering putting them on a B1250 but dont know how they will look). Also do the SH42 hinder the easy get on & get off for the pillion rider? Any heat issues on the right side case from the exhaust?

Thanks

Just a pic from a campng trip to Gold Bluffs Beach way up in Northern California couple of weeks ago, 700 miles round trip.

7 miles of dirt road to the beach no problems, the Bandits a good all around bike for sure.

First time using the Wolfman water proof duffel bag. The Wolfman bag held all my camping stuff plus some.

Full instrument pods came in yesterday. They did have some scuffing in the chrome. Rubbed back. Several layers of matt black paint later. Brackets to hold the instruments had to be altered to fit the covers on and now the bike is done. Until I find something else to fiddle and change on it.

Went for a little backroad ride Sunday.

The Bandit and it's sidekick ZRX1200.

A couple of shots of an old railroad tressle that was once part of the Annie and Mary rail line. It's a fairly well known rail among railroad history buffs.

My friend Don under it on someones private driveway.

2006?? 1200s.

I have acquired a new to me Suzuki 1200S Bandit. It is reputed to be a 2006 model and probably is according to the VIN number (JS1CB121300100200 07/06). But from what I have seen on this forum I am a bit confused. My bike has all the hallmarks of a later 2007 and on water cooled model, except it still has the 1200 air/oil cooled motor.

What I have noticed: Strengthening bands around the lower fork legs to help support the brake calipers, Rear brake calipers mounted above the axel. It has charcoal plastics, and red / maroon frame. Analog round revcounter, and digital speedometer, trip meters and fuel gauge.

It seems like it was a mix up of parts. Certainly not complaining, just curious.

Any comments? Thanks.
