Fantastic video Ian, I'm certain it won't be long before he can hold us off. We also need to remember he can do 20 laps without having an aneurysm. I guess he wins then.

That little bull ring was good practice. No need to throw is shifting or chicanes the first time out. It's hard enough to get used to squeezing the front brake that hard on ice.

Like Father, Like Son

P.S. any chance you can burn those and the LOB ride to DVD?

We were talking about that while you two were out on the ice. Give him a few years and he'll be doing circles around us. Way to go Jrcool

I'll see what i can do about the DVD, not sure of the file format that is used on DVD's. Is it just an MPEG???? If so, no prob.
Next time we'll get 2 cameras goin, hey RobbieO.

Now if I can only get my old legs to move I'll hobble out to the garage to look at making the DRZ faster. For now sedation is best.

feelin it

What makes a good ice bike? 2-stroke or 4?

I'm looking for a street legal XR650R for a fun bike, trails, street, supermoto etc, how would it do on the ice? Too big?

Any bike with the right tires would do it for fun. Don't expect to set any lap records though. The heavier the bike, the stronger the legs need to be. My DRZ is fine but it sure is easier on the new 450 you saw in the video. It's likely 75 pounds lghter and it wheelies way better as well.

tires are key
