If it is caked with mud, I will hose it off first. But when riding in dry weather, the chain doesn't get much dirt on it using this stuff. What little grime is on the chain comes off pretty well from spraying on the lube, and wiping off the excess.

I don't know how many miles I have on my XR chain, but I put 20,000 miles on my KTM 950 chain using this lube- or at least, I did when I could get it.

X-ring, that is pretty common mileage on big dual-sports, from what I have heard.

But yeah, using non-ring chain on my XL500s, I had gone through three or four chains before reaching that mileage.

Edit: the XL500 was before I had discovered the DuPont.

Gents --

I wiped out and ruined my beloved OEM Enduro Computer. This was the stock speedo on 85/86 XR600Rs and 85 XR350R. Does any one have a good unit that they would be willing to part with?

I would love you forever and ever

Let me know...

It looks like this....

I'm going to look at that Chain Saver they offer, to see what it is like.

It drives me nuts to find something that is really good, and then not be able to get it anymore.

I've got one of those in great condition. I will look this weekend in my storage unit for it.
