White Bros big tube stainless. The same set I have on my XR600. You know, the garage queen.

Hey everyone,
So I think I am going to part my xr600r. It is a 2000 with some nice goodies on it. Anywho, let me know what you need and I will send a price and info back to you. I will post pics later tonight since I am on my phone at the moment. It has a white brothers exhaust, big 4 gallon tank, nice aftermarket headlight, LED tailight and a few other cool things too.

Here is my email:

It has leaked since we got it 10 years ago but since I have been romping it around town smoking Harleys, the leak had gotten much worse. Is it a full pull apart of the case or as simple as pulling the little shaft out and replacing a o-ring? If I have to pull the side case off then I also am going to get a new rewound stator to replace the XL650 stator the old owner put in there.

Thanks for the help guys.
just pull the seal and replace

Also, just to prove my bike wasn't a slacker I will show of a photo of it (this is also why my con rod thrust washer decided to commit suicide). I also know that the speedo unit in the second photo is sought after and hard to find, or so I believe because I looked everywhere for one to put on a different bike and couldn't find one...

By the way, yes that is me on the very same tires in the photos above, on a 21 inch front.....proves you don't need a supermoto to have fun!

Motor won't turn.

mikuni flatslide! CHECK!

so long story short I had this tm38 sitting about when it came with the cartridge forks I got from steve way back when...

since it was a non pumper carb I dint give it the benefit of the doubt and well

WHAT A MISTAKE

I went over it and everything looked pristine, clean and new, absolutely flawless inside and it turns out it was jetted spot on except for the needle that I leaned out a notch

for those interested I got this idea from andso77 over on tt who just put up a thread on the awesome xr's only tm38, after asking him what exactly was it that they sold it turns out it was the same carb I had gathering dust in a bucket!

so after cleaning it, and putting it on(even had the adapters and stuff) I put on new hoses and bam it kicked to life after adjusting the idle a bit

go figure!

its a great, much better condition carb, and although it still has a very small bog when you give it 100% throttle its improved a good 75% over oem kehin carb so its staying

tomorrow I ride the dirt and give you guys a detailed report

right now on street its SMOOTH and a good increase in acceleration, well see about topend and stuff but its a very smooth and easy pull throtlle similiar to modern bikes....

in the end Im stoked!

cheers

pics coming

Can you put a 93 head on an 85 motor to convert it to single cab? And then will the 85 motor fit in the 93 frame?
