Howdy. Here's a few pics of my current and past rides. The white 96 XR600 is my current steed. I've made a few mods on it since I picked it up, and more are in store over the winter. I still have the red (99) 650L, as well.

anything to oil temperature?

sixhunny NICE skidplate on the xr...is it custom?
I like it because it does not block any airflow to the tranny/engine... Good stuff and welcome! christian |

Big Bend National Park. well I made it to Big Bend Sunday night and I camped out overnight in the chisos mountains. Monday morning I got up and I drove out to black Gap Road to elephant tusk campsite there a rode the entire black Gap Road around the Glen Springs Road and then down the river road and then back up black Gap Road to my campsite.w of course i went from the south to the north end of black Gap Road and it might be possible going from north to south but it definitely would not be easy. i only laid my bike over once and i was stopped, but my backpack got hooked on my fenderbag :( pictures to come

xr6 screen mesh cage
hey so Ive been wondering for a while with those of us who still use the stock cage and filter...have any of you guys gutted the screens on the stock cage
I switch between a uni and its cage and a stock cage with a dt1 foam filter very similar to a twin air however its seems my uni flows better as its more crisp... I know scott summers famously said to not take out the screen mesh since its affects intake flow, whatever...but since I dont have the stock carb anymore Im not too worried about taking it off... reason is it has a couple of tears in the screen and last thing I want to have happen is for some screen to get sucked through the carb...jajaja any input appreciated christian |

No first hand experience but from what I hear the adjusters are to long and have to be swapped out with your OE adjusters.

Does anyone have a good working 40mm stock XR6 carb they want to get rid of? I dont have much to offer, but do have a set of stock dual carbs from an 86 that Im not going to reuse. In great working order. Not sure what they are worth, or if anyone is ever looking for them. Also have the stock dual carb intake addapter and the airbox rubber tubes.

You might post this over on the XL600 thread and the flea market.
