The engine is smooth enough that I don't mind revving the piss out of it regularly.

As you no doubt know, it's not as powerful as a WR250r which is a watercooled 4V motor, but I like it anyway, including on the interstate. And I have the stock gearing.

PS - my KLR won't go uphill, into a headwind, at 80mph either.

Just sold wifeys TU250 with 63 miles on it, it looks like the buyer will enjoy it. Bike was mint! Could have made more but it went to a good buyer. Now I need to get mine up and running.

I just got a new CDI unit for my xt200 and it runs great.
I have about $900.00 into the bike now.

I also once got a low mile dr650 for HALF the price of the wolf...

Just took the tu out for a day adventure with a buddy that just got a rebel 250. 12 hours we did 370 miles. Had a blast went from 1200 feet to about 7500. I rolled the tu over the 27000 mile mark.

That is great.
Did you put all the miles on the bike?

I have about 22,000 on mine, just added about 60 over the weekend, but more snow tonight/tomorrow.

With the big spaces and low law enforcement, I think I would want a bigger bike for the street out there, maybe.

That has been about my longest ride so far, about 15 hours and just under 400 miles, most in low speed twisty situations.

Ya I bought it new in September of 2012 but most of the miles are back and forth to work 60 miles a day. I want to get a bigger bike eventually like a dr400 or dr650, klr650 I don't really care which just what I can find the best deal on when I have the money. But I am still going to keep the tu for going to work and teaching the gf how to ride it better. I can honestly say that I still love the bike. I still haven really grown out of it. I actually have fun getting a run at hills and holding each gear out trying to climb them. It's like a race.
