Great ride! Glad to see you got home in one piece Ben. What weather we were fortunate to have.
Pics found here

Meeting up in Afton at 10

Ben and Hardy playing hobos

Someones happy to be back with their bike

After the ride through Augusta and Rockingham. Here we are at the little grill minus one

Suiting up. Where's that key!?!? Oh ....nevermind

Confusing signs...we used the front door.

After Ben split off for 33 and home East, Hardy and myself took a nice tour around Port Republic and then to the park trails. We stopped for a nice walk to the Mt. Vernon Furnace off Browns Gap/Madison Run Rd.

On top of the furnace:

Madison Run

Careful.....

From here we rode up to Raynes Bank road. All I have to say is don't go here. Somewhere a land owner is still wondering what "T-DUBB" means

So we peaced out to the train tracks.

Ya know what?

Quite the contrary

Thanks for the good times everyone. I look forward to doing this again sometime soon. Should be some dirt in my future for next weekend somewhere over the ridge. We'll see what the weather brings...hell who cares.

Thanks for going out of your way to come down and ride. Will try to make it up that direction soon but I see dirt in my future for this weekend. Mud maybe.

When we pulled out on 42 and I lofted the front wheel I thought to myself later it was a good thing there weren't any cops around.

The hi-viz vests may have confused them. Doubt it though

Nice. This one was known as the Mt. Vernon Furnace. Where is that one located? I've never been to Catherine's Furnace so wouldn't know if thats it.
