Must be badluck there at Enchanted Rock...

I proposed to my last wife there with a sunset picnic dinner and some local wine...lasted 4 years but have a beautiful daughter out of it.....

Hah! That's what I'm trying to find out. It's in TX, I'm guessing around Hill country, and is on private property. Has to have rained a bit for it to run so I understand, but would love to camp/swim/hangout there. The search continues.

I am very familiar with the Tx. Hill Country as I have ridden there for over 25 years, and I have no idea where that is. Might be in Lake Amistad area by Del Rio? Devils Canyon? We definetly need to find out where.

The surrounding countryside of the Texas Hill Country^qv is characterized by sloping limestone and is used for pastureland. Live oak, juniper, and mesquite grow in the shallow clay loam. The Narrows was part of the Hermann Schlameus ranch and appeared on local tourist maps from the 1930s through the 1950s, when it was a scenic park. The ranch was sold in the early 1960s, and the Narrows was closed to the public.

I was thinking that is must be on Private Property or we would know about it. Alot of Texas is, so even though we are so Big, most of it is Private, so respect private property. Or the landowner can tend to be not to friendly to trepassers.

If you're the non cruiser type (i.e., you like to turn up the pace a little in the twisty bits) i'd suggest trying to ride the hill country during the week as the Harley crowd will likely be out in full force on a spring weekend. Getting stuck behind a group of them is no fun as they tend to ride at less than a motor home pace. A week day & you'll pretty much have the place to yourself. Go on the weekend, well, don't say I didn't warn you!
