Wow and Hello from western Kentucky!

HI!!
I just read your whole thread and loved every word! You all look like you have such a good time! Keep the good reports coming!

We have a farm also, but sold off all our cattle (red polls and dutch belteds) and our hogs (red wattles) this year to give us more time to play! We still have sheep, goats, alpacas and horses...so we're not out of farming, just taking it a bit easier!

I'd love to catch up on the road and meet your group some time!
Lisa

Well let me finish the rest of my story pt3 .. With our good friends from TX...
Ya'll remember HotGlue and FlamingoBabe came back to the farm from The HillBilly Ride and we all stopped at Beartown...
And then spent a week with us then the 4 of us went to the Spyder event that was held in Maggie Valley....

We didn't leave the farm to early as it's not that far from us ..
HotGlue and his Valkyrie

Flamingo Babe and her Spyder..

Highbinder and one of his SuperValks..

We took a few back roads .. And I always dig old buildings..

Down town Greenville..

Our first stop was at Lamonsters home in TN. He sure did put together an awesome Barbecue for the spyder lovers ....

HB & I have known Lamont for 10+ years.. And we always enjoy seeing him...

FB's and my Black where the first ones in the field...

One of our buddies had their Rocket3 there ..

Saw this chain holding the split tree together .. It's really something how the tree takes it in...
I have cut trees up for firewood and found an old nail inside.. LOL yuppers had to sharpen the chainsaw blade after that ..

A few more of our buddies showed .. Yes we all have know Lamont for a long time..

WOW look at all the spyders !! Can you spot my Valk ??

The barbecue is under way..

Our buddies from MI showed up ..Bob & Devon

Ah an ADV salute !!! Yuppers more of our buddies .. Yogi in back and that's Mosa who Saluted...

Then I saw this little cutie !! They dye his little Mohawk...

Bellies full it was time to head down to Maggie Valley...

Here is Devl and her spyder…

And RTaz and his Valk…

We stayed at The Holiday Motel for a few days.. They are very motorcycle friendly..

The next day we headed to Wheels through time...

Dale was there this weekend ..He was having a blast with his bikes...

He was riding a few of them around the yard..

A new way to mow the lawn...

He was giving rides on this one too .. OUCH !!!

It's full of all kinds of cool stuff ..
Not just motos..

Lot and lots of old Bikes !!!

And some really strange ones..

Some very old cars and service motos..
See the steps to get in the Rumble seat..

The Meter Maid rig .. Hey maybe Lovely Rita is around ?

A solid service rig..

Lots of toys !!!

The early day hand warmers for winter riding..

They'll hack anything...

Dale was riding this one around too...

There are a lot of old timey photos as well..
This one is one of my favorites,..

Nice skirts…

Dale and Jay Leno

And this bike won some kinda of a fancy bike show in California ..

Then Dale started this bike for us..
He really is a helluva nice guy… And will start any bike in the museum..

Now it was time to go to the spyder owners event...

I saw this new prototype Hybrid..

This is Lamonts' RS.. It the very first one that rolled off the line..

Lamont is very influential with BRP/can-am.. He is one of the main reps ....

Can-Am /BRP sure knows how to through a barbecue .. No foam or paper plates .. All nice metal camping plates !!

And dessert..

After a fine weekend with our friends .. It was time for us all to part ways...

HotGlue checks his GPS...

RTaz and Devl has already hit the road early...
HG & FB rode a little with us then they turned off and we headed home..

I saw this in one of the little restaurants

Here's a link to a bunch more photos of Wheels Through Time...

Spyder Event & Wheels Through Time

If your ever in Maggie Valley be sure to take the time and pay "Wheels Through Time " a Visit..You'll be glad ya did...

Well that should have covered the month of June for major rides..
Of course we/I are always out riding the local roads...

But not all ride I bring the camera

Ya'll stay safe .. And I'll get more of this years rides up...

After all I was out today .. It was a glorious day that's for sure for the ends of Nov !!!

I just kinda stumbled on this thread. I didnt even know there was a ss1000 ? Paper work and all ? I think the op has it right, who cares about the paperwork ! God I remember a few years back my son lived in Carbondale Co. And I was in Wisconsin. I left friday morning drove 1220mi to visit and ride with him, slept that night and ran back home for work monday morning. No paper work or big pat on the back. Just did it to do it and never gave it a second thought. I have done a few 1000mi days. A couple were easy, a couple were hard, and all were worth it. I know its late to give the OP the thumbs up : but here it is . Job 1 is to do it safely. I like the report, the thought of being held up by an accident, then thinking WOW- if I had left earlier I may have been in it. That is good positive thinking. When something goes wrong, we get in a accident, or get a speeding ticket, we always say " shit if I had left earlier or later, or didnt hit that light, this wouldnt have happened". But when we get to our destination safely with no hassles, we never say- Wow I made it safe- if I had left sooner or later I wonder what would have happened ? Nice report ! BTW- 2 best long distance bikes I have owned, VFR800 and a ST1100 . Both great long distance bikes for me. My K75S and R100RS were also good. IMO

Still getting use to this high speed wireless..
We went over the 5 gigs last month and had load another gig...

That sux... They really get ya...

Well our tree is up and all my little critter/bird ornaments are hanging from the boughs...Here's a photo from the tree a few years back...
We stopped killing trees a 15 years ago..
We got this one back in 07.. I like it ...
It has led lights on it now...

This years tree....

I just wanted to wish everyone who peeks in on my blog..

A Very Merry Christmas...
Season's Greetings...
Happy Holidays....

I'll get the rest of this years RR's up I promise..
