Here's the deal for tomorrow...

1. Meet at the "Chubbies" gas station (4200 Anderson Highway, Powhatan, VA 23139) at the corner of Midlothian (60) and 522 at 0800 (I can imagine Mike groaning when he reads this!)

2. "Gravel Road Jedi Master" Andrew Lacy has agreed to guide us out on 60W to some gravel roads en route to Big Levels.

3. From there, have fun, help each other up, take some cool pictures, get some lunch along the way (snacks and water very strongly recommended) and then ride some twisties (maybe 56) back to the river city!

4. Try to be home before dark for dinner! (and Motrin!)

If anyone wants anything with the RVA Motoman logo I slapped this together: http://www.cafepress.com/motofun The prices kinda suck but its easy and I am all about easy. Someone else is going to have to figure out vinyl cut stickers as I do not have a reliable source.

--Thanks

Calling Mister COG

Hey Guy --- do you recognize this bike? The fine folks at Mortons tell me the previous owner was active in COG, so I thought you might know him and have some knowledge of the bike. 2003 that was traded in a few months ago.

Heck yeah, that's Kurt Nordstorm's (KWN308) old bike. I can't believe that it's still there for that price. It probably has more money in farkles on it than the whole bike is worth by itself. If I were in the market for a pavement only steed, I'd buy it in a second.

P.S. Kurt is a A+ straight up guy who I understands takes excellent care of his toys.

I'm sure Steve Anderson would MUCH rather sell you that 2007 Royal Star that has been gathering dust there for over a year, LOL!

Kurt? So this is a "known" entity? Was up looking at it yesterday. Aside from peeing a little oil on the floor (which Jeff swears he will take care of), it looks in great shape. I'm assuming this Kurt knew how to maintain a bike? Is he on ADV? Would love to know a little more before plunking down some $$.

A set of brand new Scorpion Rally tires just showed up on UPS Shoe Creek here we come!!

PS if anyone is looking for a supper aggressive tire for the GS, these things make TKC's look like racing slicks. I thought they had sent me MX tires by mistake.

Putting these on the GS is going to be a hoot They are so stiff I am not totally convinced they require air.

I'm sure Guy is sleep on the side of the road. Man was an eating machine. No talk, just shoveling. Only one to finish his plate. :-)

The setting from a different angle ...

Cool place. Everyone who worked there had an incredible amount of pride. Food was great. A tad pricy, but really tasty. Lots of it too!

So ... where is next week? LOL!

On my plate was enough french fries for a family of 4.

Those guys were seriously into their restaurant.. Don't know if they're all partners or what, but from the server up front to the dudes out back they were talking it up. I'm definitely going to check out the new one in pburg when it opens.

Smugmug doing some weird things, so this is the first I've had to get mine up.

Excellent place, and I am stuffed. The food was great.

Mich and Hig with our server. Danny came in shortly after:

My plate of Shrimp and Grits:

Well, so much for that:

Getting ready to head for home:

I'll definitely be going back. Also look forward to seeing their new place just down the street from Jeff's in Olde Towne Petersburg once they open.

Jeff, given the noise you once made in my HD boots' direction, you'll be pleased to hear they have been replaced by some Motorrad Santiagos. Bring on the rain and the watercrossings! :)
