+1 on that. I don't know any details of this one but 70 mph flat on the bike on I-95 during morning rush hour is a nightmare scenario.

Mike is tough as nails do to the fact that he hits the gym every workday morning. Because of that dedication he leaves for work and is on I95 at 3am. Im sure all these factors helped him out this morning. If Id hit the ground at that speed and as hard Im sure Id be done. Thats one tough Marine.

Mike, wishing you a speedy recovery!

Honda has launched six all new bikes this week! Not just boring new graphics but all new bikes!

Any motorcyclist over 40, with a pulse, should get hot under the collar for this! Rumors are $9999/$10,999 with ABS
http://powersports.honda.com/2013/cb1100.aspx

They even made the Batbike available to us mortals!
http://powersports.honda.com/touring...-wing-f6b.aspx

WHY, WHY, WHY in the heck they left the CrossTourer in Europe, South Africa and Australia....I have NO freaking idea! It would have done well against the GS, Tenere and Tiger!

Was VA Commuter on one of his KLR's or his BMW?.................traffic was not messed up this morning, I got to work on time, glad he was not hurt any worse. If he does leave at 3 am traffic is a whole lot lighter than when Sue and I leave at 4:45 am, maybe that is why he didn't get run over.

There were a lot of crazy folks on the road last weekend...
Don't know this guy but this happened just West of Sperryville, not even to the park much less the tight turns up on the mountain.

RIP rider...

Found mention of the scene we came across on 56 Sat. RIP.

http://www.nelsoncountylife.com/2012...orcycle-crash/
Virginia State Police are investigating a single crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at approximately 2:36 p.m. Trooper J.C. Wagner was called to the scene of Route 56 about 1.5 miles east of Route 626 in Nelson County.A 2011 Suzuki 750CC motorcycle was traveling on Route 56 when the driver ran off the road in a curve, proceeded through a fence and struck a tree.
The motorcycle operator, Brian S. Brooks, 34, of Troy, Va., died at the scene. He was wearing his safety helmet.
Speed is considered a factor in the crash. Alcohol is not involved.
ok enough of this crashing/dying stuff, need a happy story. stat.

Accidents

Mike, I'm glad your doing well. Dan, thanks for the info regarding last weekend. Seems like bad things happen in three's? That's three issues, lets think positive and everyone be careful out there.

New toy .... I have a new Glock 19 I need to play with. I'm off Fri-Tue. Anyone interested in showing me how to use this thing? The only place I know of to shoot is the range on Hwy 60. PM me if you have any ideas or want to help.
Thanks
