Sorry I was late, but I enjoyed riding with Jeremy.
I am glad that I missed that mud hole! Jimmy Rctr

Todays Ride
Great ride today. We had a little bit of everything from mud, hills, sand, water, dirt and gravel. Kudos to Eddy and Andrew for dragging their big GS's along. That was a lot of fun. Jeremy and Jimmy .... sorry we missed you guys starting out. In hindsight we probably should have waited a little longer than we did. Sorry.
The highlight of the day was riding through the mud pits. At least it was for me. I saw Andrew busting through so off I went only to be stopped just a few feet into the mess. Somehow the DRZ powered out without digging in so I was able to get out. Thanks to everyone who helped lift and push our bikes off the ground, over the tree's and out of the mud. The big GS"s actually did very well until we hit the tree crossings. Like Jeremy said, both Eddy and Andrew lost their skid plates. You can see the two holding their trophy skid plates in the photo. Im not sure about the rest of you but it took a hot shower once I got home to warm up. ![]()

That mudhole in the video was 100% optional. I rode right on by it with my street tires. There were lots of obstacles later that weren't. Eddy and Halfplate followed us into some pretty tight single track. Logs, rocks, creek beds. They made it every where we went but it was slow and hard going on the big bikes especially on the east side of the property.. |

I'm sorry I didn't make it, it sounds like everyone had a good time...I have not left the house. I have been sick since yesterday and have just been living vicariously thru all that went and anything I could find on line to look at. Hoping to feel better so I can look forward to next weekend.

Great ride today!!! Wow what a work out on the big GS, I think I was able to burn off some of that turkey dinner. Thanks again to Dan for showing us around, can't wait to get back out there with the GS. Next time I am going to listen when you say "hey its muddy down that way".
If anyone else wants to try it on big bikes it really isn't all that bad, just stay on the right side of the property. The other side has a bunch of tree crossings that will tear up your skid plates. I am happy when the GS is dirty. I just got done cleaning all that caked mud out from under it, took 4 hours.... But that's the price you gotta pay ![]() Stuck in the mud

Gerbing XL Vest, Large Pant Liners and XL insoles
I just listed a Gerbing heated Vest, Pant liner and insole on ADV. The vest is an XL, the pants are Large and the insole is XL. All three are in great shape and work very well. The insoles are brand new. The vest and pant liner are not microwire and they do not include a controller.
Vest $70 Pants $100 Insole $35 |

Glad I left when I did. Just spent the last several hours unconscious. Guess whatever it was I had most of the weeks wasn't quite gone. I didn't find that mud pit so washing my bike only took 10 minutes. It is due for an oil change so it did really need to be cleaned. The poor wee has been getting neglected.

Ditto what everyone else has said...fun, mud, sand and sacrificial skid plates offered to the woods while crossing large downed trees (all on GoPro!). I got all of Andrews mud bog try outs on GoPro as well. I had intended to stop by the car wash and rinse all of the caked mud off but I only had a $20 in my wallet so I headed home. My son thought that all of the mud was "cool." 15 minutes in the hot tub followed by a hot shower and a couple of cold beers had me feeling better!
Let's make plans to do it again next weekend! It would be awesome if we had 20 local ADV guys out there.

Well I just had a bite on my SV! If all goes well I may have someone buying it Saturday. It will be a very sad day watching it drive away, but at least then I can pick up a nice wr250r and join the fun everyone is having.
