My shocks for the GS are in the mail. Does anyone have a MX video, advise or can actually help me take the fuel tank off my GS? I have heard you do not have to take off the tank to install the front shocks but I need to reroute some of my wires and remove a bolt I dropped into my tank last year. I have a heated garage if that helps.

Chuck, I'm here all weekend. I'm putting new braided brakelines on my GS. You are welcome to come down and use my shop/lift. I can show you all about removing the tank, and changing the shocks. I've got Ohlins on mine. You might want to see how the rear reservoir line is routed.

I had PRK done in '06 at the Naval hospital here in Portsmouth. No issues, very happy, no dry eyes. My night vision was horrible before and the surgery didn't make it any better (or worse). I had 20/650 in both eyes with astigmatisms as well. I'm 44 now and wore glasses for 28 years at the time of the surgery. No regrets. I've just now picked up a set of readers for very in close work, my arms are still long enough so I don't need them for reading yet.

BTW, the procedure was very fast, long assembly line type of deal he day of surgery. The lady that did mine had done 20,000 procedures. Most every one was under the laser for a few seconds, I had a full 50sec for each eye. I actually saw smoke coming out of my eyeball, that was somewhat disconcerting. It took me right at 3 months to be fully healed and have 20/20 vision.

(I almost just passed out, my last patient, a 24 year old young man had never heard of Pearl Harbor, had never heard the story that I told him regarding the attack in Hawaii and had never heard of Nagasaki or Hiroshima... WTF!? What are they teaching these kids!? How great community organizers are? I guess my daughters kids in 50 years will have never heard of 911..

I'm out for riding this weekend, a bunch of out of town family coming over to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary! (amazingly, he still treats her like they have only been married a few months!) Sadly, this is one of their last few.

That is only like 15 hours one way for you. You should go get it and stop in town to see your old buddy's here in VA on your way there and back. There are 48 hours in the weekend so that still leaves 18 hours for sleeping, eating and getting in trouble.

Personally my weekend is already full.

• Re-plaster and paint ceiling of bathroom, all the cracked finish coat finally came down Tuesday night. base coat is fine.

• Buy a dining room table and chairs. The dresser and end table in there now won't do for Christmas dinner.

• Buy couch, sofa etc so that there is seating when family comes to visit.

• Move all the random things being stored in the living room and front room(see reference to Dresser and end table above).

• Oh and leaves, lots of leaves.
