Thanks. I may try and work another $100 off of him, but he was asking $3800. I already got him down to $3500 and he sounds pretty firm. I know he needs the money though, so we'll see. I need to get my hands on a trailer. My wrx has a hitch that I tow with, but I haven't bought a trailer yet. I will try and scrounge one up in the next few days.

I was out having a couple beers tonight with some old friends and we start talking motorcycles as we are known to.. somehow LD riding/riders comes up and he tells me a story about a guy he used to work in the mid 1990's. Somewhat older guy who commuted rain/snow/shine. He said sometimes he would ask the dude, did you do any riding this weekend, and the guy would say something like "yeah I rode up to Montreal and back" or something crazy like that. He then mentioned the fellow was high up in the COG org..

I said.. his name wouldn't happen to be Guy Young would it? He said hell yeah it is, how did you know?

So anyway Guy, my friends name is Bruce Akins, formerly of PS&C. He was not one bit surprised to hear you are still a big time motorcycle head..

I got back into town last night around 9pm. The wife made me sit and watch TV with her for 30 min before she would let me go out to the garage to start installing the Ohlins. Long story short ..... The shocks are in and I was able to get to bed around midnight.

Anyway, that was the easy part. Now I have to reinstall all the electrical wires, give the bike a good looking over and then put it all back together. Do you know how much "West Point Mud" I found underneath the fuel tank?

If all goes well today a good ride on Saturday is still in order.

I think Im in for the RTE today. See you there.

Yes, I remember Bruce. Also worked with him for a couple of years at the old United Power.

Shoot, that was one of my "short" rides.

IIRC, I believe he bought a Connie at one point.
