My extra pounds are no mystery. Wife likes to cook and I like to eat. This time of year makes it worse by sitting inside a lot. Next thing you know pants are too tight and belly hanging out.

The two things that work well for me are running and low-carb. If I can just do that for a couple months I'll turn it around.

hey Jeremy (and anybody) I'm flexible on the time if you want to meet at Henricus.. how about 9 to let it warm up a little?

Yeah that's pretty compelling info. The doctor advised me to call an orthopedic place for a consultation and stuff but I think I'm going to skip it. The bone has migrated down and I think it will heal up acceptably with just the brace. To be honest with you I don't have health insurance and the $300 they charged me at patient first has put a big enough dent in my savings already. If I could afford to have surgery I would but I'm not willing to take on the burden of all that debt.

In more uplifting news, I just got back from the lawyer's office and Matt Danielson is going to represent me at no cost and call the head of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation of VA to testify on my behalf. They seemed to be pretty confident that the reckless charge is going to be dropped. Will let you all know how it goes in court in early March.

In the meantime, I would suggest anyone in a similar situation as me at least call the lawfirm and see what they can do for you. Matt said they make it a point to do pro-bono work for motorcyclists with unjustified tickets. Good folks over there. Motorcyclists are the best people, I swear.

I'm doing the low carb diet, too. Lost 6 in 2 weeks. I really miss some things, though.

Anything in moderation boys...it's a way of life diets don't work...I can hear Nicole now.

Moderation is never for something's, I never understood that saying.

Picked up my car from getting inspected because I had a voicemail that it was ready. Get there pay my $ and I'm looking at the receipt and I ask why there is a circuit diagram stappled to it. Turns out they had failed my car for non operational windshield wipers. The tech appearently looked at it for quite a while and told the service counter guy it would need to go to VW to get fixed. I walked outside and turned on the wipers, then asked if they could put the sticker on it. Alas they had all left at 5 so now I need to take my car by tomorrow morning to get my decal. I'm really not sure why the guy didn't know how to turn on the wipers?
