Two different rides

There may be some confusion so let me clarify.

We are talking about two different rides here. One ride is tomorrow. A group of us are going over near Alhambra to scout for remote campgrounds. No Shoe Creek or anything to extreme, at least we are not planning on it. Just a spirited ride on dirt and gravel. Its a day trip and so far there are six bikes going.

The second ride we are talking about is on the 16th. Thats the trip Eddy is leading to map a course for Morton's Spring Fling in May. Its an overnight with plans to stay in a remote campground ...... hopefully somewhere we find tomorrow on our ride.

Again .... the ride tomorrow is just a day trip. Eddy's ride on the 16th is an overnight.

Chopped Liver is going on both rides. :-)

What time are you guys leaving tomorrow? I assume you'll take 60 out to 56?

The plan is that Chuck will get a consensus at Jeff's tonight and he will call me and I guess post a time on here. If not I will post a time. The suggested meeting place is Chubby's at Rte 60 & 522.

Central Virginia Vintage and Antique Motorcycle Show

Houston Smith will host the next show at 885 Huguenot Trail, Powhatan, Virginia 23139 on 19 May 2013.

I know Jeff had some concerns about the competition at last year's event. I am happy to convey any complaints to the organizers. We'd really like everyone to attend.

Last year was "thrown together". I will help to try and make the event better. To me, it's not about trophies. It's getting friendly people to bring their bikes out for everyone to see!

Wow Mickey, you are letting them get a late start.

@Eddy, when you are out the weekend of the 16th remember to change the clocks on the dash at 2am.

Question for the gear-heads in here: Do any of you guys have a wheel-balancer I could use one of these days in the next few weeks? My front wheel has a noticeable vibration to it but it doesn't seem to be bent. I'd like to make sure it doesn't have a big heavy spot that needs to be counterbalanced with weights. Just ordered some new tires last night (already put well over 1,000 miles on those knobbies) and if the vibration doesn't go away after mounting I'm going to attempt to rebalance them.

Thanks all.

Okay, I finally kicked the last hooligans out. What time are we suppose to meet, and where?

Oh holy crap on a cracker. 09:30 ??? Who picked that time? I might as well not even go to bed at all.....

I'm still up. If I can make so can you. Of course I haven't been partying all night.

Okay, I'm throwing in the wimp towel

Even after spending a half an hour last night changing my GPS mount over from the GS to the XR (in prep for today), I'm going to man-up publicly and wimp out. It is 34F in Petersburg right now and the XR is not wired for electric clothing yet. Sorry guys, I do not have enough desire to prove I'm a bad-ass to ride all day today on a naked bike, without heated gear. I'll have to catch you another time.

Have fun today, ride safely. Keep 'em upright. I'll buy a penalty round the next time we meet.

Besides, I might could use the time today to wash my GS. It is still covered in road muck from the Black Ice ride.

Wish I could have made it to the ride. I was supposed to be off work at 9 AM at the latest, and I'm still sitting here waiting for this loser truck driver to show up. Take lots of pictures guys. I'd like to see some of the roads you find.
