Nice pix to show your ride Mike. Did you ever find out what caused the fish kill? Thanks for sharing.

Cool pics Mike, you're making all our local shots look boring.

Do you think the dyna beads caused the flat, otherwise why goodbye if they seemed to be working? I was thinking about giving them a try myself.

You can explore in both directions...no homeland security, no gates.
So the dyna beads had been working great and I was happy with my new farkle...time for gas...long story short....I pull off the highway and suddenly
realize I had a flat, the rear of course....its 2pm, its hot, I'm hungry
No pics of that event just a couple notes.
- Bring lube, soap whatever to help seat the bead.

Greats pics and report. You are in DS paradise. I've been 4-wheeling out there and the whole time I was thinking about how much more fun it would be two-wheeling!

I'm going to get some ceramic bead blasting media that is the same thing as Dyna Beads; I'll post more as things progress. Supposedly Dyna Beads can be re-used if you can capture them from a tubeless tire of if you are replacing a tube you just cut it open.

Bead Goop from Best Rest Products is definitely better than soap. I got a 3 oz. bottle with the Bead Brakr set and I've used it on 3 tire removal/replacements and still have 75% of the bottle left.

Thanks guys...for the folks out here its, been there, done that....I say "goodbye" because my flat was a pulled valve stem, don't know why but the beads were everywhere and I wasn't in the mood to corral those tiny suckers They worked great but I may switch to the cheaper alternative I found on Ebay...they are a bit larger, maybe 25% but should fit through the valve stem no problem....Dan, I think maybe heat as I was on the gas doing 80-85 for like 25 miles up hill, down hill etc
The fish kill is a mystery.......

Are you running heavy duty/moose tubes in the rear?

Interesting day yesterday!

Due to ADV rider and the good people at the BMW PC (especially Bill Conger and Ricardo Rodriguez) I am sitting in the lobby of the BMW PC waiting for my three day dual sport class to start in a short while!!

So it was you guys! We saw the three of you heading home yesterday as we were heading out to the Farm. You were on the other side of Afton Mtn and heading east about 5:30 or so. Those orange crash bars really stand out.

Yes, the majority of trees over here above 2500 feet are just now budding. Our apple trees are not in full bloom yet.

Mike, those are mouthwatering shots of your area. You've got way bigger huevos than me to be riding that Kaboom solo out there.

Roadside Assistance

Does anybody have any recommendations or feelings on who to stay away from as far as Roadside Assistance programs? I have my bike insured with USAA and they do not offer Roadside Assistance. I would prefer not to change insurers. I just got quotes from 4 other companies and I am substantially cheaper with USAA. If I leave I won't be able to get back on them.

I am more interested in the quality and speed of the service than I am with the price.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Craig
