Pending clearance from boss-lady of course, but this looks like good timing.

Gonna be heading up here for the weekend with some friends next month I think. While none of them ride motorcycles, I'm thinking of bringing mine since I know the roads and gravel are good in the area. Any suggestions on where I could head out and ride to if I'm staying here for a couple days?

years ago when I rode out there, I took four days going west and two days east. All back roads out and slabbed it home. Fun trip!!! wiggled back roads thru VA, TN, MO, AR, OK, KS and CO

This is a small portion of 6JUL13 ride with Dr WhipIt, ptownjohnny and defaultgateway, FR 246.
I rode that about 3 weeks ago. It wasn't bad by myself on the 250. Garmin claimed I was riding "on road", but couldn't tell me which one. Wished I could of made it but managed to run a fever and have alternating chills/sweats all day Saturday. If you thought that was a little dodgy, maybe we should go back and take the other side road off Wiggins Spring. I realized it was way overgrown when I ducked under a branch and bashed my GPS with my chin.

Suspenders are too tight. That will make anyone feel nauseous.

Chuck just hit the road for Pikes Peak. The man road 50 miles to go get us a rear tire that we needed.
He truly is a great human being .

So the Good Karma Tour continues for Joe and I. While Chuck was chasing down the one last tire, I asked the motel owner if she had a cinder block or piece of wood we could use to block up the bikes. She opened their garage and pulled out this massive bike jack. Seems she and her husband ride too. Wow. What luck. So if anyone is ever passing thru Trinidad Colorado I highly recommend the Trails End Motel. Jim and Renee are great people. We gave them our half used Kenda rear knobbies because they have a nephew who can use them. I love it when a plan comes together.

Both new rear tires on now. Just have to pull the carbs and do the jets, then I think I might take a nap.

Of course I listen....Did you say something?

Also just got the parts/supplies in for a fork seal re-do on the hack-a-saurus. That ought to be worth a few band aids and some choice words.

Mike #4 checking in.

SanK and I are going to be riding a little bit later, from Lakeside over to the (basically) abandoned Evergreen cemeteries over on the east end of town. It's a pretty strange place if you've never been. We might do some more riding after as well. PM if interested.

That was a Richmond Commuter Tag, tag back in early 2009. Used to have some other shots further down the road that really showed the over growth, but they're all gone now.

Maggie Walker, and other prominent black leaders of the day are buried there.
