Thank You Guy Young for sync up the throttle bodies on the V,
lots smoother, still a little back fire, but I can work on that

Thanks Paul.

Sorry it took too long to find those non-existent TB ports.

I put "vacuum port extenders" on mine. This wouldn't be a blue 04 wee by chance?

I initially didn't see anything since they had the ends tucked in behind a frame member. I mean, we damn near torn that bike apart looking for the ports. Spotted a couple hoses, pulled them up, and they both had plastic fittings on them where a rotted out piece of tubing was being used to joint them together.

Very frustrating, and embarrassing. Should have been able to find those early on.

Once we found those, the rest of the job was a piece of cake.

"2nd. Air Line" was dry rotted and had come loose. Once that is replaced the backfiring should go away.

I need this done to mine (01 DL1000). It just isn't irritating enough to make me do it, though.

Oh I can see that happening easy. You're looking for two capped ports and they're not there.. wtf..

Had a great ride today. About 290 miles total out to the normal stomping grounds bordered by 151,56 and the BRP. Had a couple close calls with dear in the early afternoon saw deer on 3 separate occasions on Coffetown. One of those I missed by about 4 ft.

Ran into some nice people on what looked like pristine XT225s and a 2T KTM on Wiggins Spring. No gear other than helmets gloves and orange vests. One of them was 2 up. They were coming from tower rd.

I had 2 oops today. No damage to me or the bike other than some scratches on the hand guards. One managed to happen while the camera was running. We'll see how that footage comes out. The 2nd time was on North Fork RD going north from Forks of Buffalo. You would think the nice gravel road wouldn't turn into a 4 ft drop into the river for a water crossing. I locked up both wheels and managed to stop before falling over the drop. I guess 20mph around that turn was too fast or I would of seen it and stopped without the drama. This was the first day in a long time I bother playing with the gopro. Bought a couple spare batteries and a wifi backpac for it last week. It was easy to aim it on my helmet while seeing the camera image on my smartphone. I didn't use the phone to start and stop recording, I just reached up and pressed the button for that.

More once I get some video edited.

My Oops

The realy deep rut in the right track psyched me out. I managed to cross it but then went into the bank on the left.

Here is also a clip of running up Tower RD. Mostly in 2nd gear but made it into 3rd some too.

Not a bike trip but it was nice. San Diego to San Franciso in 15 days.

Picked up a couple of t shirts at SF at Michub's suggestion Scuderia West. Yosemite, Big Sur and suprizingly Alcatraz were the top family picks of the trip.
