Anybody interested in a street legal 2003 KTM 525 EXC, good condition with 1800 miles. Gonna post it in the FM later this week just thought someone may want to grab it before then.

2005 KTM 450 EXC. Been wanting an RFS bike for a number of years and finally bit the bullet. Only has 1300 miles of mostly fire roading on it. Definitely WAAAAAAYYYYYY undersprung for someone of my stature. But I am beyond stoked! Runs strong and is in great shape for an 8 year old.

Anybody have any experience replacing shock springs on a PDS shock?

Cheers Ken

What are you going to replace it with?

Dang it Andrew! I just ordered new springs and a new saddle for the DRZ to make it more off-road capable...Okay...I'll nibble...how much for the orange beast? No wait...must fight the urge...must resist...I don't need that beast...can't touch the ground...dang it! PM me if needed.

What ideas do you have up your sleeve? KTM Freeride?

Is there a Williamsburg version of this thread? There's a Triumph Tiger on CL that I can't get the dude to respond to. Wanted to throw out a net to see if anyone knew him (her, it).

WHy do I keep feeding my bikes this poison

At least the Startron fuel stabilizer made it easy to clean.

Anyone out there running avaition fuel or Race fuel. I have a friend in NC that is 10yrs past retirement from running a fuel time race shop. He keeps race fuel in all of his collectibles. It works but $20 a tank a few yrs back.

Link to local VA locations for Aviation fuel with current prices ~ Of course my local Airport is getting a $0.75 per gallon premium over many of the others.

$6 pr gallon @ Petersburg

If you don't need the high octane, you can use Marine gas which usually has no alcohol.

Your best bets appear to be Jordan Point, Yacht club and Powatan. Though if you have an older bike and want leaded fuel, Chesterfield Airport AVgas is a possibility.

I've never seen anything as bad as that floatbowl. Usually my problem with the ural is clogged idle jets every year.

Remember avgas has lead in it, and most strips will not sell it to you unless your putting it in a plane.

BTW most improvement stores and napa carry little metal cans of non-ethanol gas for string trimmers and chain saws. I think they have 2 smoke premix and straight.

I've never seen the small cans without 2 stroke mix. For the Stihl it runs $7.95/QT. I think that it is storable for 5 years unopened and 1 or two opened.

pure-gas.org lists stations that sell gas without ethanol. Even race gas is less expensive than $7.95/qt and it is available at 4 Wheel Drive Specialty on Broad St. in the West End.

AV gas was often used as Race Gas in the past. I don't know about currently.
