Karl,

That was one of my first attempts. I actually used an iPhone to iPad skype video call just to see what it would like before sinking any money into a real setup. It is a was a lot of fun, and certainly opens up new possibilities with the little RC planes.

Just for general knowledge. I'll offer a free weekend for two in WV to any rotary-winged RC pilot who can come out and film an aerial route with HD Go-Pro on our farm. I've got some great ideas for a video, but lack the technology for combining hand-held, bike mounted and aerial video. I've got the first two, but need the third.

I'm just waiting for you guys to get the tech and skills sorted out.

jeff
that sounds fun!!! I can bring the drone to WV that would be a fun experiment!!

neat place!! I try like hell to avoid it. I could spend way too much cash there and end up hiring a divorce attorney

Am I the only one who now has the age old economics question of "guns or butter" stuck in their head?

That is actually a cool idea... good range that way I am sure. Plus, if it flies away you can find it with a 'find my phone' app :)

That sounds like a good plan. I am not quite sure what my plans are going to be as a buddy of mine is heading up the route and such.. I'll fill him in with your plans and see where it all pans out.

I plan to take the copter for some fun video angles :) I'll need to work out a way to transport it as it's quite a bit bigger than I first thought it would be.

Are any of the upper Hampton Roads or Richmond inmates aware of any shops where I could get a set of tires mounted without going to Redline or similar? It seems to me that there were some folks starting a new shop in Lanexa or somewhere near Williamsburg? I'd like to put some money into a local shop and am sick of the treatment I get a the big name places.

I know one of the guys. They have a no mar machine and do custom work. It is a small shop run out of a detached garage. I lost their number and address but can get it in the morning. I posted it last year.

It is White Oak Customs off of Old Forge Road. THey have a Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/WhiteOakCustoms

Congrats Jimmy! I couldn't work at a place like that because I'd end up buying everything.
