If ya want to skip breakfast, we should still be there, but getting ready to head out by 8am...Hope ya can make it!

About 6AM. I may not do the entire ride (or I may just stop less and do it quicker than the main crowd) as I'd like to be home by 1.

I'm ditching Kriss to go riding and backpacking all next weekend so I'd hate to stay gone too long tomorrow.

Had that place in mind for a future VA Tag - with not so appropriate (PC) clues - but the time never came 'cause I've slacked off with the tagging game(s).

Do luv the "sweeping" S-turn through the village tho'.

Well, if we roll out of Mineral at 8am, looks like we should be in Standardsville around 10ish. There should be a Diary Queen here at 140 Main st. (per Google) which we will be going right by. Perhaps that will be a good pit stop anyways. Don't know what else is there..Hope to see ya around then. I'll give ya a call when we stop.

Budds Creek...

Hatchcover & I had a good time today...and yes, we stayed dry, I even got a sunburn

Pictures give you an idea but to hear the sounds, smell the fuel and see all the fine young things really make it fun
We started off walking vendor row...our first stop...a sweet collection of of 'vintage' rides....

I had an RM500 as my first dirtbike....I called it "Christine" after injury's happened more then smiles

Mine even had the same DG pipe....

Does this sprocket make my wheel look big....

Look a KTM 540 SMR with absolutely no ORANGE almost a crime

How about a vid of the first lap of Moto 1
Anyway....lots more pics in my Smugmug account if your interested...

Sorry I couldn't join you guys yesterday. I did catch a few minutes of race on tv though. Looked like it was pouring rain!

Great day for a ride! Didn't take many pics while dodging deer, little old lady drivers, and idiots that stop in the middle of the road. But at least it was fairly uneventful, and the grub at Pee-Wee's BBQ was awesome as usual..Hope everyone gets home safe! Here we are gassing up, from right to left: Jeremy, Mickey, Tony, John, and John's friend Rob?(Damn I'm bad with names) Mike (HBurg) joined us in Standardsville for the run down Dyke to Scottsville.

Upon getting near Hatton's Ferry, I said "come on let's see if it's running" which, of course, cursed it right there, 'cause here's another pic of my failure to ride the Ferry (6th try I believe)...

On the plus side, there were lots 'o honey's out in barely-there bikinis..Sorry no pics, using the wife's camera.
Here's HBurg doing the Egyptian fertility/'I'm single' dance when he saw them...

One heck of a great day guys, let's do it again soon!

Nice Ride!

Hey folks, thanks for letting a scooter tag along on your ride today. I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed my BBQ. My Dell PC has the Amber Light of Death (probably power supply gone bad) so I can't upload my videos until tomorrow (mac only allows firewire video upload) Here are the pics to hold you over.

The group showed up in Stanardsville around 10. I was just kickin' it waiting for them to arrive. Some neat bikes and nice to meet some new faces and greet the old ones.

Mike had some AAAA batteries Never knew they existed!

Some shots on Dyke Rd on our way down towards Crozet

Madstrom crossing 29

Eventually wound our way down to the comically closed Hatton Ferry. Whatdja expect!?!

Deep in conversation about 19" tires

"Hmmm which way should I take to go home..."

Nice Hog

Then headed over to lunch in Scottsville @ PeeWees BBQ

I had a Junior Combo. $5 for a sanwich and two sides! What a deal

(cobler was coming)

Mike couldn't wait for the picture time

This looks interesting

Cya folks!

After splitting off, I hopped on 20 and was followed by these gnarly biker dudes. Not sure his reaction but I enjoyed taking his tail-gating pic

This burger wanted to play...unfortunately, it was all chained up

Had a great time. Thanks again and look forward to the Spudnuts adventure in the future

The motley crew bellies up to the bar at "Mineral Restaurant"

Mike meets up with Mike at Standardsville.

Skunked again by Hatton's Ferry

Mike? really needs get over being so introverted .

I peeled off from Jeremy and Mike (in Richmond) at Columbia and stopped by to check on Ben on the way home. Anybody know someone who needs 2 acres worth on Butternut Squash?

Tomatoes too.

Ben is missing the rides. He's hoping to taper off from his farmer duties shortly.

Farmer Ben

Great ride today guys. Really enjoyed the company!

Thumb The ride

Looks like you boys had a really nice day. I was in a funk on the way to church this morning, wishing I was with y'all. Then, my lovely wife reminded me.... "Your bike is in the shop anyway." Thanks Babe.
