Man! I wished I was out in the woods somewhere.

Is this perfect camping weather, or what??

I'd go, but the wife got out her fall jacket today since she was 'cold'. Guess that helps explain why we fight over the thermostat on a consistent basis...

Ahhh... camping weather. This weekend was perfect for sleeping outside (in the mountains at least.) I'll try to post pics and details of the Tea Creek outing soon. The riding to and fro and the hiking were both perfect.

And now, back at home... We enjoyed a fire in the back yard and all the windows open.

Yeah, this weather works for me.

wee-stroms rock

even more after you raise the forks 15mm in the triple tree. Finally did that on Sat. Also figured out my bar was about 1/4 inch off center. Wonder if it came like that or if it shifted when it took a nap that 1st day.

Anyway talk about a difference. Front end feels solid and responsive now. All I can say is, wow and bo wish I did that months ago. Maybe it is just me but, dang. Now it doesn't feel like the front end is doing it's own thing around turns. Had a fun ride by myself on Sat to celebrate. Also i had to celebrate passing a certification exam for work Sat morning.

Rode the bike to work today as the cage was busy for it's once a year chance to let a mechanic rip me off that is mandated by the state. Can't believe I paid for wipers. At least that was all they failed it for.

So at wok there are about 10 bikes everyday. The strom was by far the tallest but not the ugliest. There is one of those victory vision things that look like they stole some car fenders from the 50s.

I felt goofy with my ultrabright "look at me now" neon hi-vis yellow vest but dang it people saw me. Supposedly that is required on the base but I see lots of others with zero reflective or hi-vis gear so I guess they must not really check. No real issues except trying to get out my ID with my gloves on at the gate and that they had some 1 inch thick squares of plywood so the bikes don't mess up the new parking lot. That was cool except it puts the bike sitting very vertical and i would have to worry on a windy day about it falling over.

Hey Mike, since your not going camping, want to help me get my mother moved? Just kidding. Of course that kind of ruins a fair bit of the weekend. Mike, want to make another go at the ferry on Sunday or Monday?

Visiting the place during a performance is on my definate list of To Do's. Been watching their performances on PBS for a couple of years. Unfortunately, this w/e is out for me; got too much other stuff I have to take care of around here.

Looking forward to your report.

you go mike!

Will be helping Dad pick up his new 09 Strom from Loudon Motorsports this Saturday. Not sure where the winds will take us but I'd planned to hit the Labor Day Campout by ADVRidgerunner near Coleman Falls.

Thanks for the heads up on the Sherando Rally. Great opportunities in every direction for motoring!

Oh...picked up my RS this AM from Anton
