Great idea Mike!

I did notice the sign that said "Pedestrians only on Path" when I was leaving...

No buffeting with that helmet?

I can't stand wearing my motocross helmet on my KLR. The buffeting is unbearable.

That's typical for a KLR though. My KLR had some of the worst buffeting issues of all my bikes. Even with the screen off and only the cowl.

Pete is a SUPER dude...I bought my C14 there, and I get free inspections for life...
Just to show you what kind of guy he really is, I called him on behalf of my fellow COG'rs, and inquired as to the price of doing the extended GTPP warrenty for a reasonable price, well the result was outrageous, he actually beat the best price we could find on e-bay, for everyone that wants it on the C14, he agreed on $339 for the 36 month shebang....
now mind you, this june will be the end of the original warrenty from Kaw, for those that bought the first ones, so our due date was coming up....
he went right to bat for us at COG with this deal....Kaw sent policies out last month, asking for a whopping $674 for this plan....wow.

good dealer, and he WILL beat anyone's price on a bike he sells....
Oddly enough I bought both of my bikes from Pete. If I had not totally blown my bike budget on tires and a stich, I'd think about going by and seeing what he has.

montebello

I rode out to Montebello and back this afternoon. The last few miles to the general store didn't look too good. Lots of salt/sand piles up in the middle of the lanes. Up to that point 56 was plenty of fun. Also it is good I ordered tires. There is no longer grooves separating the blocks of tread in the center of my rear tire.

No riding for me today

Finished up getting the drive through gate shifted over, and mounted a new tire on the rear of the Connie. A neighbor said he was getting a stump grinder next w/e, so I can cut out a PITA Crepe Myrtle that's been tough as nails. All I'll to do then is move a Forsythia and it'll be a straight shot from the road to the soon-to-be-built garage.

I really don't know why...I don't see any errosion or anything, the surface is fine, thats why I keep going through The only reason I can think of is they don't want traffic coming into the parsonage ruins of the battlefield due to pedestrians
