I would think the easels and dry erase boards would give you some packing troubles on a bike. No one else from your area is going there in a car?

You could call Graves and see if they have some of that stuff, they do have a conference center apparently. Would be a shame if you didn't take the bike,you'd be kicking yourself because there's lot's of fun roads to go check out around there. We've been doing a ride where we go from Madison to Sperryville on backroads trying to touch 231 as little as possible.

I'm afraid I have no choice. Other team members are already loaded and are not available today, so I'm stuck.

Maybe I'll just take a day next week and go back up there and explore.

Seriously. Have one if you wanna borrow it. Best be here before 4:30 a.m., as I am out of here on a "mission" over in WV should things remain "stable" this evening.


Lemme know. I can drag it out to the front yard so it will be awaitin' you.

That looks awesome. I remember sitting on the porch of the Hutte thinking that spot would make a nice camp site.

Have you ever stayed for breakfast? It's a good thing to wait around for if you haven't.

Wait maybe there is a way.

Take all the paper flip charts and trim away the cardboard backing just leaving the paper. Roll the paper around the flip chart stands and zip up the whole thing in the stand packs. Tape the dry erase boards together with duck tape, back to back. Get the other misc stuff together in zip lock baggies. Load it all in the wife's car and have her drive it up there quickly before she divorces you. You ride the bike up and have fun.

Thanks for the offer. I thought about hauling it up on a trailer, but I will not have free time.

My plan was to ride back roads up there, then take 670 up to Skyline Drive. Ride down to the BRP and then home.

I'm also not supposed to haul personal stuff behind the "company" vehicle. Everybody is so dadgum litigation crazy...

Maybe it's for the best. I've been having some health issues, and I know the ride would probably cause me some pain and suffering for several days.

Helvetia is a place I would move to in a heartbeat. There is something about that little community that connects with my inner soul. Hard to explain, but I know we've all felt it... an inner connection that overwhelms when we've ridden into a place. That's the main reason I try and stay up to date with all that's going on there. Shoot, I've even thought about joining the Farm Womans League, or Restoration Committee.

But, not to be. It'd cost me a marriage and I'm too old to even think about alimony.

As far as breakfast - Nope. As mentioned, I was always out of there early before they opened up. The shot of the ducks was taken around 7:30.... well before Ms. Eleanor wandered down the road to get things rolling.
