nickel dime run
The nickel dime run is fine but I was thinkong more of I havn't found that good 1 to 1.5 hr run to do after work. Personally 10 and 5 are pretty boring too. If I want to make a day of riding I can get to much more interesting places. When I was in the west end I had a nice 1.5 hr long loop that went to Hanover and around by Ashland all via back roads. Where I am at now, all the back roads hit River road which is pretty straight and gets boring. I need to go exploring more over by Winterpock and see what I can find going west.
Mike, sounds like you had a great trip. Great RR and photos.

The Exmore Dinner has some pretty awesome crab cakes too. It's funny, I was in Colorado a few years ago and Maryland crab cakes were on the menu.

SCAM Bike
I just googled this address and it lead me here. I am an adv member as well. I see the address
16514-69 Street North West Edmonton, Alberta T5Z3V5 posted here in an earlier posting. I got my CC info stolen somehow and it was used to post local newspaper ads for a chevy tahoe. I followed some clues and found the email of daubert@yahoo.com in the adds. Anyways set up a fake email and sent him an email and he sent me the very same address. The car is in edmonton at that same address! Wow, he must have lots of used vehicles. He just got divorced and must sell everything. So did anybody ever get anywhere with this. My CC info was stolen by this person somehow. I bet this person isnt even in the US or Canada but would just like to bring some misery to them. |

I say call your local police, maybe they would be interested maybe not. Something is afoot though.
What do you say Jimmy? You were the man (with bad knees).

Bike Barn Construction Getting Close
Signed the contract on the footer, foundation, and slab Sunday. Because it backs up to the corner of the property, needed to get the land surveyed to make sure we stay in compliance with the county setbacks. That, hopefully, is being done today.
Raised my FIOS fiber line last night to allow clearance for the materials and cement truck. Most of the materials are being delivered tomorrow; trusses Friday. And finally, the footer, foundation, and slab work will actually begin Monday. If the weather holds, I should be able to start framing in about 1-1/2 to 2 weeks. .

Officer Down
I was up at Morton’s today to look at a KLR. A Henrico Officer left on his motor just as we got there. He returned a short time later with the bike on a trailer. Typical car pulled out in front of motorcycle scenario. He was OK, the BMW is a total loss (frame). Be careful out there!

A Henrico Motor Officer was sitting across the intersection at the time. Upon his arrival on the scene, he promptly removed the offending driver from her vehicle.... through the window. I became friends with that motor officer. He was killed in the line of duty in '98.
