I didn't realize it was in WV this year. I'm in. I'll be camping.

Three Major Milestones accomplished in the "Barn" this evening

Cranked up the welder for the first time to weld up some swivel casters on the parts washer to make them fixed. Wanted the rear ones locked to make it more stable.

Added 20 gal. of Stoddard Solvent to that parts washer to get it cranked up. Works great for an old machine.

Fired up the the blast cabinet using glass beads as the media to clean up some ancient tools just to see how it worked.

We be a happy camper!!

Off to eat some dinner..................

That would have been a better choice IMHO. But it appears we are camping in the motel parking lot.

IIRC - they didn't allow that back when we were there. I stayed in town at The Old Clark Inn 'cause I had just "found" the place. Several others did as well. Nelson and Andrea did a first rate job making you feel comfortable.

I'd be interested in that rally but I'm thinking that I'll make a big trip out west again. That Forever West RR makes me want to ride that loop starting from central Colorado heading toward Utah. I'm getting itchy to go and seems like I start around Father's Day. A pass or two might be snowed in but the flowers are blooming and everything is so fresh than in late summer. If I go later, I'd do this ralley.
Here check out the Forever West ride.

One thing I noticed last night when screwing with the welder, my GFI receptacles seem to be affected by the high frequency when doing AC welding of aluminum. Unfortunately, all of those receptacles are on one of the same "legs" as the welder receptacle. Being a 230VAC device, there's no way to avoid it. The really bad thing is that the one most affected is the one that runs the 'fridge, i.e., the one that keeps my beer cold. Fortunately, I noticed the problem and reset the GFI.

This is certainly unacceptable and will need to be fixed - somehow.

I'm surprised code called for GFI's in a detached workshop(outside I could see) I'd replace all them things with regular receptacles. I know they are for safety and all but they drive me crazy.
