The bikes still at Morton's. Stuart; the Service Manager, seemed to be confident it would be an easy fix-he feels it's a bad coil that acts up once the bike gets warmed up causing it to intermitently stall/surge.Should have it back soon.I'll keep you posted.

You just want everyone to ride a GS.

Ya know a couple of years ago I may have gone for that. Looks in nice shape.

Am pretty sure that's an R1150GS, not the R1200. Oilhead vs. Hexhead. Still, it is a pretty decent deal. I paid $8900 for my 2001 R1150GS in 2004, with 19,000 miles on it.

First sucker, er, Customer

Eddy dropped his bike off today. Waiting for lift extensions, and once we have those up it goes to give it a good once-over.

Cool Sunday Ride

Chuck (skychs) & I took a little ride today. Cured my "Cabin Fever" temporarily and Chuck got in his last ride before going in for rotator cuff surgery on this coming Wednesday. He'll be out of commision a few months after that.

Route 60, 56, Irish Creek Rd, South River Rd, rte 60, 778, 151, 56, 29, Oak Ridge rd, 56, 60, 13, 60.

Here's a few shots from today.

Fishing pond was a little crusty.

Almost up to the BRP

Got to the BRP and a BRP wasn't looking promising.

Got to Whetstone Ridge and that was the end of the BRP ride today.

So we took Irish Creek Gap

Previous Virginia Tag - Anybody recognize it?

More Irish Creek

Back door into Buena Vista

Buena Vista from BRP

Oh! ... almost forgot ... How Cold was it.

271 miles for me today

I even gave her a good bath before taking her over to Guy's nice, clean garage! Thanks for helping me unload her today Guy, she's a handful at 600+ pounds! I'll swing by the parts store and get new spark plugs and 15 weight fork oil. How many ml's of fork oil should I buy?

Dang Chuck, You're serious about saddle time on that bike! 32,000 + miles on that GS already?! I'm envious! Who's doing your shoulder?

Todays ride

Thanks for the photos Mickey. Awesome day. Great ride despite the cold temperature. Special thanks to Gerbing for keeping me warm for almost 9 hours and over 300 miles. Great idea to wash all the salt and dust off the bikes toward the end of the ride. Instead of blow drying the bike in the wind all the water froze in place until I got home and into the warm garage.

I'm going to miss riding with you guys over the next couple of months.

Yeah I was in the car heading west on 60 and passed your bikes in Flat Rock at the gas station. We were heading to a memorial service off of 20 below Scottsville. It was cold for you two. Gee wiz, I was cool in the car.
