Hey guys...
Thanks for the good vibes and well wishes. Jimmy and Greg .... The GS needs to taken out a couple times a month so feel free to take her out for a spin if you like. It's wired for heat. I filled it with gas today and changed the oil. It may be a couple of months before I can get it off the center stand.

Mickey ... I picked up that 650 V-Strom today. I took it over to Eppa's for a new front tire and a look over. Seems to be in great condition.

Oh yeah. I'd like to cruise up to Poe's on a Sunday on that! Might be able to supplement my meager retirement income too....

Chuck,
Is the V-strom for your wife, are you going to keep two dual sports or sell the GS? Either way, congrats.

Dirt bike

Hey Michhub,
Truth be told .... I picked up the Wee-Strom for a friend of mine. 08 with 12K. The deal was so good, even if he backs out I can turn it for a profit or at least break even.

As for dirt bikes ..... I looked at and rode at least 5 different dirt bikes but couldn't find one I liked. I got close on a nice DRZ 400 but couldn't pull the trigger.

V-Strom

Hey Eduardo,
I'm definitely keeping the GS. If my buddy decides against the V-Strom I will probably keep it for awhile just to try it out. Its probably too big for the wife but I like the idea. :-)

I am going to head up to the MC show in DC this weekend to take a look around. We drove last year and due to construction parking was a pain. Someone had mentioned taking the metro in. Where is the best place to hop on the metro coming up from Richmond? Guessing it drops you off pretty close to the convention center?

You can take the 0623 Amtrak up to Union Station at 0900 and walk a few blocks to the convention center. Enjoy the show all day, get a good meal then get back on at 7:00 pm and arrive in Richmond at 9:30 for a measly $84. No gas, no NOVA traffic, no stress and you can kick back and relax with a stack of new motorcycle brochures and a cold beer!
I'm taking the train to Manhattan the following weekend as the NYC show is better. More OEM's, more vendors, more fun and great food! There's room if you want to come along. The train ticket will cost you $150. We're leaving early Friday and coming back Sunday morning.
