Earlier post with pictures!

I'm back from the New York motorcycle show! We had a great time, ate like kings, collected several pounds of brochures/literature/posters, drooled on many bikes. It was COLD! Snow and ice between rail cars

One of the MANY super hot models!

Some basic bike show observations/highlights/thoughts:
1. The Triumph Tiger is so bad ass! (Fully loaded and ready for a trip to Tierra Del Fuego for $13,500)

2. The BMW K1600 is a techno geeks wet dream, $30,000 fully loaded and God help you if it breaks down in the middle of nowhere, Sunday night, at 11:00 pm.

3. Jason Britton can do some amazing things on a bike.

4. The Ducati Diavel is just as hideous in person. But I can't argue with the power to weight ratio of a AMA Superbike!

5. A flourescent orange Ural rig is actually pretty cool!

6. If I win the lottery, I'm buying a 2011 Indian Chief Vintage. ($35,000) Craig (aka Downer) wants a red one!

7. I predict that Honda is going to sell a bazillion CBR250's this year. They are TINY, equipped with EFI and ABS, great style and it weights just a bit more than me for only $4400!

10. If you ever go to a bike show, GO ON FRIDAY! (About 75% less people, theres a K1600 and a S1000RR in there somewhere.)

SUPER TENERE!

Yamaha Dakar Bike

How much trouble could this get you into?!

For those who Givi saddlebags and a tankbag are not enough and want to take a mountain bike along...

Lot's of these ridiculous 360 mm rear tire bikes on display...

There's probably the equivalent of a Lexus, a BMW GS and a nice dirt bike tied up in this supercharged Harley...

A few of the cool bikes on display...

Honda VTX

No, there were so many people and there was so much to see. But, Ice-T, his wife Coco, the Bostrom brothers, Paul Teutel Jr, Ricky Gadson and some other Hollywood/gossip type folks were there...

Rode to work this AM. No electric clothing, etc. Felt ok except for my thumbs froze even with the heated grips. 24 deg and a 37 mile commute.

Should be a nice ride home! Supposed to be 50 today.

I've pretty well got use to the cold now..Although I am ready for spring.

I guess the next iteration from the 360 mm tire would be training wheels?

From the General Assembly via Matt Danielson-Lawyer Dude:

HB 2374, which clarifies the definition of a moped to make it clear that a moped traveling in excess of 35 mph is a motorcycle for the purposes of State Code, will be heard in Transportation Sub-Committee 2. We do not expect opposition to this bill as it is already law. We just want to make sure that the actual definition makes it clear so that the statistics showing the number of people cited for operating a motorcycle without a license are not artificially inflated due to people on mopeds being cited when they did not have prior knowledge.
