Sounds good Eddy, but I think ya'll know where I'll be.

I'm getting ready to put the I-Beams into place for the hoist system. Need to rip some 2x10x16 footers to sister in with the existing floor joists and get them lifted into place. I-beams will go up next.

There is one in the Spring and one in the Fall if my memory serves me well.Anyhow, count me in. Let's find the details and plan it.
The registration for the spring Moto Giro is now open, and limited. Cost is $170, and the AMA membership fees too. Deadline for registration is 30 March.

Link to Registration form

I'm currently waiting on the state of Vermont to decide if they will register and plate my '55 Simplex. I bought it without a title and have been battling Va DMV forever. Vermont is my only hope. If I do get plates, I'll be doing the Moto Giro in May. (Actually the dates are: April 29 through May 1 and it will be at the Jiminy Peak Resort in Hancock, Massachusetts. )

Would be nice if we could get some vintage small displacement iron on the road. Motorcycles must be pre-1969 and under 305 cc. A high speed rally this is not!

The Maple Festival in Highland County is just around the corner. We're still planning on being up there for both weekends. The use of our place is still on the table for those who wish to camp (weather permitting). PM me if you'd like to join us and need directions/information.

Jeff,

Good luck with the plates, but if you are planning on riding the Simplex to MA, you'd better leave, uh, tomorrow...........

Have you tried Maine? A title company I used a few years back went through Maine to get me a title. Good luck!

I checked out a couple Title Companies, and after talking to Pete, have decided to try to do it on my own. (and same several hundred $$$) Apparently Vermont will register and plate a bike that is greater than 9 years old, and under 300 cc, with only a bill of sale. We'll see. If it works, I can then transfer the registration to Va, and they'll have to issue me a new title. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. My paperwork was sent to Vermont over 2 weeks ago and hasn't come back rejected yet.

My price quote from International Title Service in Las Vegas was $265, and they do it thru Vermont! Go figure.

Patience. It will come. I just sent out one application a couple of days ago.

You will receive the plate first. The actual registration, and year sticker will follow about a week later.

Jeff, I will scan and send you the documents that VA will need.

You guys aren't AMA members already?

Barring some unforseen catastrophe, I'll be there. Sounds like fun!

It's owned by Rusty Gross of the Richmond BMW Riders, Central Virginia British Car Club. I had a chance to buy it a few weeks ago before it hit CL. So, not a scam.
