I can't even find pictures of it. But being right near Panther Falls, I bet it's probably got a few folk in it during the weekend. Sounds like it could be a cool spot though.

I like Hog Camp Gap on the other side of 60. It's a short little walk in from where you park. It's right on the AT, there's a spring down the hill, and a very nice nearly 360 degree view about 1/2mile hike south up to Cole Mountain. That's down Coffee Town road and it turns into Wiggins Spring Road.

Shucks man, we are going to be out there during that hill climb week, leaving Friday. I'm trying to decide if I can take off a couple of days and take it in. Now you are getting me jazzed up for it.

Glad I could help feed the desire

Think the "celebrity status" has gone to his head. Don't think he'll ever be back. With his raw talent in years past, 'tis a real shame the sport has lost a super star.

Well I'm pumped to get on the road, should be gone mid morning on Friday. The truck is packed, I just need to strap the bikes down and go. I may have said so if I have, give me a break please. The snow pack is deeper than normal this year so it's forced me to look at new places on the map and read some different theads. Salida will be the first hub of this trip, with 4 mile, Poncha Pass/Bonanza. Heck, in the Bonanza area I counted 20 old mines on the map. It looks really interesting. I have been to Creede but just passed through. I really want to explore the area north east of Creede and then slip down to the South Fork area, below Del Norte. South Fork (of the Rio Grande) has tons of riding.

Well forgive me for rambling on, did I say that I'm PUMPED?
